She looked up and brushed the hair away from her face. She smiled at me and began to laugh. Her laugh was more like a cackle. She had aged, but did look young.

"Mother?" I repeated. She stopped laughing at me and nodded.

"Oh honey, have you missed me?" She asked. I was renedered speechless. I stared at the lady in front of me. Blond hair and blue eyes that matched mine. My blood, her blood. It was almost the same. "Evelyn answer me." I blinked at her.

"I thought you were dead." I muttered. She scoffed. I looked up at her again. Who was the lady before me? My mother was a caring lady. She never scoffed at me when I was younger.

"Dead? Darling, don't you remember what I am? Only certain things can kill me and old age ain't one of them." She walked towards me, stopping only a few feet away. "Evelyn come home with mommy. I missed you so much. I knew where you were. I knew but I couldn't come in this territory. It's time I showed you how life can be as a vampire."

I stared at her, with a blank look on my face. She waited for a reaction. Slowly, but surely, I shook my head. I was a werewolf with vampire blood in my veins. But I was not a blood sucker. I was not going to become a blood sucker.

Her eyes widened and anger surged through her eyes. She stood in front of me, searching my eyes for something. She backed away and smiled.

"There's a boy." She stated not even questioning it. She looked at the boy who stood at the tree near me.

"Find him." She spoke. Fear ran through my veins, and all color escaped me.

"No!" I yelled and lashed my arm to grab the rogue and threw him against a tree. I breathed heavily as I faced the rogue who was knocked out cold. I turned to face my mother, who smiled at me.

"We'll leave the boy alone. But you must come." She spoke. I shook my head.

"No! I love my father, and I won't abandon him, my pack or Ethan. Not for a crazy lady like you!" I yelled. Her smiled faded, and eyes flashed red.

"Fine, but remember daughter. Stay away from the forest edge." And like that she vanished and so did the rogue. I took deep breaths to control my wolf. I sat down, quickly before I could fall backwards. Why on earth would my mother want with me? Why now?

I ponder those thoughts as I cautiously walked to the pack hospital. No signs of stalkers or blood suckers as I finally reached the hospital. I walked in and found Lisa at the front desk. Lisa was a friend of mine, who wanted to become a doctor so she spent most of her time in the pack hospital.

"Hi Lisa." I said when I reached her. She looked up from her papers and smiled at me. Her black hair was braided away from her pale face. Her blue eyes lit up.

"Hi Eve. It's been such a long time since I've seen you!" She said excitedly, reaching over the counter to give me a hug. I hugged her back, tightly as well. "I heard you had a mate." She winked at me and I tilted my head back in laughter.

"Yes, I do. His name is Ethan. He's human but oh Lisa. He's so good to me." I said, thinking about Ethan as we spoke.

"Evelyn you deserve a sweet guy, and I'm glad he is treating you well." She smiled at me before adding, "He better keep it up or I'll make sure he pays for hurting you." She said with humor in her tone.

I laid my hand on hers and nodded. "Thanks Lisa." I retracted my hand. "So what room is Alpha in?" I asked. She glanced at a list before answering.

"Room A113." I thanked her and walked into A wing. I looked for my father's room, and found it at the end of the hallway. The door was slight ajar, which wasn't suppose to be. I slowly opened the door, the only sound coming from a basket hitting a floor.
