"Im so tired Luke" you sigh down the phone. "Everyday the same old thing I get up, go to work have a shitty day dealing with shitty people and then I come home to a cold empty house and eat alone. I am so tired of this, everything is pointless. Im not sure how much longer I want, can stay like this." You roll over in the big empty bed, a tear falls down your face. You can hear him breathing down the other end of the phone. "y/n it isn't pointless, I know that you hate your job and you have a lot to deal with and there is nothing I wouldn't give to make that go away. I'm sorry about everything, its my fault. I am not right for you, you need someone you can see everyday. Someone who can make you smile when you don't want to. I'm sorry I love you, should I let you go?" lukes voice broke at the end.
His words sunk in "NO" You almost shouted, "Baby that isn't what I meant I love you too, I don't mind. the distance is hard but were making it work. well I thought we were, I might not see you every day in person but you're there, on the cover of a magazine or in a picture on my phone. You are what gets me through, you might not be here but you make me smile, sometimes I laugh to myself and I get weird looks, but I don't mind because I know, one day soon I will be back in your arms." You lay on the bed, "I'm sorry Luke. I don't mean to complain but sometimes it hurts you know." You and Luke talked for a few hours, you could hear people getting frustrated with him not going to practise so eventually you said bye. Later that night you were sat on the sofa watching the latest episode of the walking dead and the door bell rang. You answered it there was a dorky looking kid stood with a hideous uniform on. He handed you a pizza box and a bouquet of red and yellow roses. You crumpled a fiver into his hand and closed the door, you were very confused.
You opened up the pizza box, it was your favourite. The inside of the lid read 'look in the flowers' so you put the pizza down and looked at the little card stuck in the flowers. 'y/n I thought you could do with cheering up, I am sory I can't be there in person but here is a pizza to show I love you. Enjoy and sleep well. <3 -Your Lucas xx' You smiled before texting him, 'you're so perfect how am I lucky enough to have you' before tucking into the pizza and carrying on with your evening.
