Ridley Grove St, Woodville Gardens, 9:57pm
Freya's POV:"Freya?" A voice questions as I walk down the long street. I turn to it, strapping on my metaphoric mask.
"Hello?" I ask back, fake smiling slightly. It's Elijah, he's washing a car, not that I care when he's shirtless. Damn, talk about muscles.
"What are you doing here?" he asks, his dark skin shining with hundreds of droplets of water. He kneels down, picking up a bucket of, what looks like, water and propping it awkwardly on the slanted bonnet.
"Nothing, just walking back from a... Friends place." I smile, fake, my eyes falling to the esky he's walking to.
He huffs in amusement, giving me a wide smile. "I heard that pause, I'm sure you and your friend have lots of fun. Beer?" He offers. I grab the bottle from him, our finger tips brushing. "Oh, you want me to-"
I pop off the cap with my teeth, spitting it on the ground. I let the cool liquid slide down my throat. I smile, genuinely.
"How the- you- cap- teeth- HOW?!" He exclaims, arms waving around crazily. I give him a 'are you done yet' look as I take another sip.
"Um, I don't know, it's not hard." I shrug, gulping down the remaining alcohol. I look at the bottle. Why must you hold such little liquid you stupid bottle?
"Actually, it is. And I demand to know how you do it." He furrows his eyebrows, looking at me as if I did the impossible.
"I don't take orders." I say simply, shaking my head. Soon, I hear a car horn behind me.
"Hey, Frey, get your ass in the car, we have places to go!" Bailee yells from inside our custom built car. I wave goodbye to Elijah before getting into this monster.
We're sort of on a debate on whether this is mine or Bailee's. It's mine since I am the one who installed all the tech. It is supposedly Bailee's since she drives it. Pff, the beast is mine; my argument is better.
"Apparently Corrupted is back. We need to check it out. The details should be on the computer." Bailee states, no emotion in her tone or voice.
"OK, got it. I'll see what information we-"
"Have you been drinking?" she slams on the brakes, sending me flying forward. She turns to me with her eyes squinted. I roll my eyes.
"Did you?" she asks, an eyebrow raised. She's so damn protective. I don't answer and she doesn't start the car.
"Yes! OK, I had one beer." I admit turning to look out the window, leaning on my hand.
"That's it?" she pushes, giving the finger to people behind us who are beeping their horn.
"Maybe I had a little scotch at Drakes..." I mumble. She shakes her head in disappointment, driving again.
"You know-"
"I don't care! I don't need the lecture!" I yell, grabbing the tablet and doing my job. She always does this, treats me like I can't look after myself; like a kid. "I'll text Elise."
"Already have, she's meeting us at the house." She says, almost sadly. Just let me shoot someone already.
☜☆☞
"Media says that their new base is two houses up; number fifty, a mansion it looks like." I say, reading off the news article on the tablet.
"OK, I'll sneak around the place. I'll text you with what I need." Elise nods, placing the voice muffler between her teeth and pulling her bandana over her mouth and nose. I shake my head at her. We have masks with built in mufflers now, we don't need them. Yet she she still likes it; probably because of the Cheshire Cat smile on it. She's insane.
To be fair, we are all crazy. I mean, I got this demonic smile on mine and Bailee got the jokers smile. So, yeah, we're all crazy with our whacked up smiles.
I slip my mask on and get out the car, running to the suitable sniping spot that I had already located. I walk up to the door of house fifty one, knock on the door and wait for it to be answered.
A man opens the door and I immediately shoot him with the paralyzing dart. He falls to the floor and I move onto the woman behind who screams just before I shoot her. I run up the stairs and to the room I selected for the job.
I open the door and the young girl inside screams her lungs out. I put a finger up to my mouth before shooting her in the leg, she faints instantly.
You see, we might be teenagers, but we're also in a gang; we give no mercy.
I shove off all the stuff on the desk before pushing it long ways up against the window seal. I set up my sniper rifle and pull out the crappy phone we need for these jobs. I adjust my scope and lay down beside it.
I watch as Elise runs up beside the house and sends a text.
Cheshire- How are the windows looking?
Me- Bottom two windows are covered with curtains, so is the top right. Top left has a young teen girl inside, I can silence her if you need me to.
Cheshire- No. I got a plan. How can I get up?
Me- You see the tree in front of you? Climb it. Why aren't you going behind the house?
Cheshire- I got a plan. I need you to shoot one of the bottom windows when I say.
Me- Got it.
I place my phone back down and wait as Elise makes her way up the tree. She stretches up to the roof and clings onto the gutter, pulling her small frame up.
It's about Ten at night and dark so she has enough cover to do this unseen. She drops off the gutter and holds on as she drops into the window ledge gracefully. She makes little sound as slits the fly screen and slides across the unlocked window.
