^^Drew that. Yeah....
Wtf is wrong with my soul?Warning: this chapter will get quite serious near the end.
___That laugh, though. Kind of makes it to believe she almost broke my nose on the first day we met. Wouldn't want her to change though. She's alluring as she is.
"Hey, Little Miss... can I scroll through a few of your pics?" I ask, curious. She pauses mid through grabbing a marker, looking as if she was thinking.
"Um, I guess... Why?" she asks back, turning towards me.
"Oh, I was just hoping on nudes or something." I shrug, playful smile on my face. She laughs, eyebrows high but soon stops, pursing her lips and squinting her eyes.
"Actually, I had a boyfriend then. There might actually be some."
"Wait, what? I was joking!" I exclaim, mouth agape, eyes wide and eyebrows shooting for the stars. She chuckles and continues what she was doing.
Well, now I'm kind of hoping she was joking, but kind of not. I mean, what guy wouldn't want to see under all that clothes? But, then again, I don't really want to know she sent some to her boyfriend. Hell no.
I look back at the phone and swipe left. She was with Freya, sticking her tongue out, arm around Freya's neck, Freya grinning ear to ear. They look like they're having a good time. In the next photo all three girls are in it. They look like they're having the craziest of times. They're in a shop, Bailee's pushing a shopping cart, laughing, Freya's sitting inside it, grinning, and Elise is standing on the end, barely fitting in the frame. Crazy.
I swipe left again. Next one was of Bailee and some guy. I don't like him. He has his arm around her back, hand resting high up her side, a cocky smirk, and platinum hair brushed to the side. Was he her boyfriend? Something caught my eye though; Bailee. She was wearing a light pink dress, her hair was was braided to the side and she was wearing big, red glasses. What?
"Who's the guy?" I ask, eyebrows raised. She turns to me, holding multiple things, and tilts the phone back so she can see it.
She chuckles, "My ex, obviously."
"Oh. What about you? You look like a nerd." I laugh, trying to cover the slight jealousy.
"Oh, fuck you. I was, is that a problem? Wait, no, I don't care if it is." she scowls, ripping her phone out my hand. She turns around and walks to the check out.
"Whatever..." It's not like you looked bad, you look adorable... I mean, what...? I hear the chime of the shops bell as Bailee walks out. I see her get in and drive off in her car. Fuck.
"Hey, kid. Get over here." I here the old guy behind the counter order. Is he going to lecture me? I walk over to the counter anyway.
"You're a fucking idiot, aren't you boy?"
"What?" I say, surprised. His polite attitude just disappeared. Huh?
"You're an idiot. You don't laugh at a lady's past, you bloody galah. What are you, seventeen? You should know these things." he shakes his head. What? I'm still, very confused.
"Wha-"
"Eh, get out, kid. You ain't buying something, I don't want you in my shop." he says and shoos me away. I walk out the shop, the small bell chiming again.
I fish my phone out and send a quick text to Elijah, asking if he could pick me up. He doesn't answer straight away so I start walking. Wait, where am I? This is the thing, I have never came to this part of town, so I'm lost.
Wait.
Shit! I left my backpack in Bailee's car. Ugh, and my wallet is in there, so I can't get a cab. Fuck... Why do I do this to myself?
I look up and see a dark cloud rolling towards me. Shit. It's supposed to be hot today! Stupid weather, being all bipolar and shit; reminds me of a girl! Stupid weather. Stupid females. Stupid, useless friends!
It becomes darker and starts to rain. Great. I pull my phone out again and lean over it so that I can see the screen. The rain starts beating down harder as I try to call Elijah, Blake won't be any help on his bike. He doesn't answer. Goddammit! Always there to annoy me, never there to help me!
I keep walking until a car drives to close to the gutter, sending water all over me. I flinch away from the sudden impact, dropping my phone in the process. No! Ugh, can this get- No, don't think it. It will get worse if you do.
I lean down to pick up my phone. My hand meets cold shards of glass. Fuckety fuckers fucking my fucking dumb luck! A few shards pierce thew my skin and I just throw the stupid thing.
I keep walking, a few things I recognize finally coming into view. By now, I had been walking for about thirty minutes, I'm soaked with water from head to toe, and I'm gradually becoming more and more of an icicle.
Perfect. Just fucking perfect.

After about an hour of walking, freezing and fucking my fucking life, I have finally found my way home. Yet I can't get in. No one is home and I don't have my keys. They're in my backpack, in Bailee's car, probably sitting there while Bailee smokes. Yep, I can imagine it now.
Goddammit.
Please, please, let a window be open. I walk around the side of the house, the rain becoming even heavier. I search the back of the house, happily finding a window open. Thank God. I slide it across and climb onto the couch that's pushed against the wall. I send a hand through my hair and sigh. Just let this day end. I walk down the hall and up the stairs. I hear something.
Is someone crying?
I didn't think anyone was home since no one answered the door and Melissa should still be at school, I think. Actually, it could be past three.
I walk up to her room but it's not coming from there, it's coming from the bathroom. I walk towards the door, slowly turning the handle. It glides open and as soon as I see it, my heart drops. I race towards her and hit the razor out her hand. I wrap one hand around her skinny wrist and squeeze her other arm with the other.
"Melissa! What are you doing!?" I scream at her, immediately regretting being so harsh. She squeezes her eyes shut and let's out airy sobs. "Melissa..." I whisper, wrapping my arms around her. "Sis, you promised... You promised you wouldn't do it again..."
"I'm sorry..." she cries, her voice at a small whisper. I sigh and drop down with her as her knees buckle. I hush her sobs and cries, fishing the bandage out. I take her wrist and carefully wrap it up. Her sobs become more violent as tears run down her face and she pulls herself into a ball. I wrap my arms around her and pulls her onto my lap, rocking her back and forth.
"It's okay... Please, just, stop... I can't lose you, too." I whisper, resting my head on hers.
___How you feeling at the moment?
'Cause I'm just about ready to curl up in my blanket, like a cocoon and cry all night.
Why? Because, my soul is about as bright as my future.
Basically, my usual existential crisis.
Bye!
