John is still alive. Barbie smiled. It was the only thing she thought about after speaking to Stella. My love is alive, and ah will see him again.
Her stomach rumbled with excitement. She missed John so much that the thought of having his arms wrapped around her waist made the hair on her body rise. She caressed her neck, feeling John's lips on it as if he was there with her. No man had ever pleased her as he did.
"Barbie," Pipi called, taking her out of her trance. In his hands, Pipi held a metal pack in the shape of a spider. "Here you go." He gave it to her. Barbie accepted it. The pack had six circular openings–three on each side–and a belt across its center. It also had shoulder, arms, and thighs straps.
"What does it do?" she asked.
"It makes you move like a spider," Pipi replied, rubbing its glowing body. It looked recently made. Even Don stared at it with his mouth agape. "You can crawl up a wall, jump from building to building–"
"Can it shoot webs?" Don asked, looking jealous as he stared at the metal pack.
"No," Pipi replied. "But it's faster than anything Pipi has ever made." He turned to Barbie. "Don't let it go to waste. All right?"
Barbie nodded, then asked, "But how does it work?"
"That's the fun part." Pipi looked like a mad inventor with how excited he was about his creation. He picked up a helmet from the floor and put it on her head. "Strap it on and press the button above your left ear. It will turn on, and you will control the legs with your mind."
"That's so cool," Don said.
"Pipi got the idea after seeing a commercial from Techno City. They were bragging about how the future involved mentally controlled machines. So Pipi made one. But that was after Pipi bought a machine from Robot City, studied it, and then made the Spider Legs. Pipi calls it Spider Legs."
"Buying machines from Robot City is illegal. Buying anything from cities in The Union is illegal," Don said with crossed arms.
"Pipi knows. That's why he bought and studied it when he and The Outlawz went to Gorilla City. They don't have such rules there."
"What about the other weapons?" Ono interrupted them. "What do they do?"
"Right." Pipi reached into his trunk and took out several weapons. He began handing them out. "Stella, this is a crossbow. The arrows lit up on fire once shot, and burns the victim on contact."
Stella's eyes shined with intrigue behind the fox skull. She also had the gauntlets for weapons.
"Sky, Pipi knows you'll like this. It's called Injector." He turned the knife around, staring at the object. It was the same size as a bullet. He had a bag full of them. "Replace the bullets in any forty-four Magnum Revolver and use them. They dissolve into someone's body and freezes their blood and internal organs. It's the deadliest weapon Pipi has ever made. Use it on anyone apart from those in this room. All right?"
Sky nodded. Pipi gave her a magnum revolver and the bag of Injectors.
"What do you have for me?" Jojo asked. "Tell me it's something good."
"Pipi knows you like things that shock."
"Oh, Jojo is obsessed." Jojo rubbed her hands together.
Pipi held gloves made of brass and steel. They had a small rectangular box on top and a small circular port on each palm with wires sticking around it. "When you wear this, it would itch. But that means its connecting with your hand movements. Whenever you thrust your palms forward, you'd fire electric balls."
