Coraline's POV

For a moment I had thought that I was probably hallucinating, but the fact that that man actually called on a waiter and ordered himself water was enough to prove my suspicions wrong.

It was him. It was the man from the picture. It was my dad...

One could have taken my expression as terror, but I was feeling a mixture of shock and some sort of love outburst. I had so many questions and I had no idea on how I was going to start.

"You don't look so happy," said the man.

"I..." I said instantly forgetting my ability to construct sentences.

I was speechless.

"I don't think you've recognized me," said the man.

"Dad?" I asked feeling my eyes massively tear up now.

"My Cor," said he, giving me a somewhat fishy smile- I mean it looked really sly.

"How? How could you?" I asked.

"All I can say is, I have missed dearly every single day since you were taken away," he stated.

"Taken away? "I said now crying," you liar! You left... you left me! I was not taken away."

It sounded like I was trying to convince myself more than putting across my thought. What did he mean by taken away?

"I know you don't have a reason to believe me,"he said.

"Damn right you don't!" I said interrupting him.

"You'll just have trust me on this one," her said raising his eyebrows.

It was now that I realized the extremely creepy resemblance he had with Zane and Grey. It's like I was seeing both of them in one body.

"I want an explanation," I said" and it better be crystal clear."

"We don't have enough time," he said.

"I've got all the time you need, so please start." I stated.

"It's not safe Cor... it's not safe for us to be seen together."

"What's that supposed to mean...dad," I said hesitantly," or should I even call you that."

"listen...' he said ow holding my hand," I have tried so hard every day of my messed up life to gather the courage and come and see you dear..."

"Courage? I am your daughter, I don't think there's any courage required for that," I said interrupting him.

"You don't know the whole story."

"Then tell me!!" I said. I felt tears running down my cheek in full speed now. "I demand to know why you've been away all these years!"

"You wouldn't believe me honey," he said," you wouldn't be able to handle the truth."

"I am no longer that tiny helpless baby anymore! I can handle the truth!"

"It's your brothers..."

That left me speechless. Had my brothers been lying to me all this time? I mean, they had always brought out my dad as the villain. But was there a possibility that they were the villain?
