Link looked around her small one bedroom apartment and smiled, alot had changed in the last eight months. After leaving the hospital almost two months after she arrived Link ended up leaving the clubhouse and moving into her old room at Gemmas. After getting a job at the diner she was able to rent herself a one bedroom apartment. It wasn't the biggest of places but it would work for now and the next few months. Jax never ended up coming back to talk to Link that day, and hasn't said more then a few words once a week when he stopped in for coffee while she was working. He would ask her how she was doing and if she needed anything. Most of the time she would give him smug answers or apologize for keeping things from him, but at the end of the day Jax didn't come home to her anymore. Jax from what he said wanted nothing to do with her as a person, he told her not that long ago that she needs to have his crow blacked out because he would never look at her as an old lady ever again. That stung Link a little but she knew she deserved it all. She wished that she could go back in time and just tell him the truth but it didn't work that way

Jax sat at the bar drinking, the only thing he did daily for the last few months. His life was spiraling out of control and he was clueless on how to handle shit anymore. Looking at Link made Jax grow angry from the lies that she told, he banned her from the clubhouse  after she was released from the hospital because Jax couldn't stand looking at her. He only tolerated her for a few cups of coffee when he would visit at the diner and even then Jax didn't want to be there. If he didn't feel obligated to give her a chunk of money that she refused every week he wouldn't even show. He dreaded tomorrow, tomorrow was the day he has to show face at the diner and he needed alot of booze the night before to even tolerate it.

Jax heard the bells chime above his head as he walked into the diner, his eyes scanning for Link. When he didnt see didn't her he sat down and waited for a waitress

"Hey Jax Link isn't here today" A waitress named Sally said, Jax knew all about Sally after bringing her back to the clubhouse after seeing Link one day

"Where is she? She told me she was working the morning shift" Jax said smiling at Sally

"She called out, said she didn't few good or something. Shes been super moody lately" Sally smiled back

"Guess I've gotta go see her at her apartment then. Maybe wanna meet up later?" Jax asked getting up off the stool

"Sure thing" Sally smiled jotting down her phone number and sliding it to Jax, who smiled and shoved the number in his pocket and walked away

Jax walked up the rickety steps to Link's apartment, he had only been here once when a old friend of the club rented it before Link. Knocking on the door Jax heard some movement before the three deadbolts unlocked and the door opened

"What are you doing here?" Link asked running a hand through her wet hair

"Why aren't you at work?" Jax asked trying to look into the apartment

"I dont feel good, havent been since last night" Link said

"Can i come in, I really dont want to hand you money in the hall" Jax said

Link reluctantly opened the door and let Jax in, after closing the door Link made her way to the couch and sat down

"What's wrong?" Jax asked watching her intently as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath

"Nothing I'll be alright" Link whispered

"I'm not going to ask you again" Jax said slightly more sternly watching Link grasp her swollen belly

"I'm having Braxton hicks contractions" Link said

"Should i take you to the hospital?" Jax asked, his voice changing

Link looked at Jax, a worried expression came over his face as he looked down at her stomach

"No, it's fine. Besides you have the bike, i can't exactly ride right now" Link said as another contraction lingered

"Link I'm serious, did you call the doctor?" Jax asked

Link nodded her head "Yes, told me if they are less then five minutes apart to head to the hospital" Link said

"How far apart have they been all day?" Jax asked sitting next to Link and placing his hand on her stomach, the first time he touched her since he walked out of the hospital

"Ten minutes, last few minutes have been seven to eight" Link said looking down at Jaxs large hand that moved in circles

"I think you should go" Jax said

"Thinking and doing is two totally different things Jax, I don't have a car and it's too far to walk" Link said

Jax stood up and walked over to the kitchen area and pulled his phone out Link heard him ask someone to bring the van to him

When they arrived at the hospital Link's doctor came into the room after Link being hooked up to monitor's

"Well, I have some good news and bad news" she said

"Dr. Price what is it?" Jax asked

"Well, your in labor but your water hasn't broken which is good it's too early and we can stop it with a shot" Dr. Price said looking at the machine

"What's the bad news?" Link asked

"You need to be out on bedrest, no walking what so ever" Dr. Price said

"I live alone" Link said

"Someone is going to have to stay with you, Link if you go into labor someone needs to be able to bring you here" she said

Jax felt stuck, he knew his mother wouldn't stay there and he couldn't ask a crow eater or one of the prospects. He knew there was only one other option. Jax took a deep breath and looked at Link

"I'll take care of it" Jax said

"I can manage just fine" Link said leaning her head back dreading the fact that Jax even said he would take care of it

"I'll just stay with you, and if I am not there I'll have someone outside in case something happens" Jax said

Link chuckled and rolled her eyes "fine"

Once they arrived back at Link's apartment Jax helped her get into bed

"Are you hungry?" He asked

"Jax, I can seriously take care of myself. You can drop the act and go. I'll call you if i need you" Link said throwing the blankets back and standing up

Jax walked over to Link and gently placed his hands on her shoulders and pushed her down

"I know I've been a dick, but you've got my daughter in there and I'm going to make damn sure she stays in there as long as needed" Jax said

"Fine. I want pizza" Link huffed as she crossed her arms.

"I understand why you did what you did, because now I'm doing it. I'm taking care of what's mine" Jax said

These next coming weeks are going to be complete hell
