They say our strength lays in our back and arms,
but I have always found this facetious.
I've seen strong men crack fall, and crumble
and women die beneath them.
I've raised life from void
and brought love along
and let them mix as potions,
and from their full, unyielding kiss,
I've found strengths definition.
It's in a smile, a gentle sigh,
or even in openly bawling,
true strength is found in connecting souls
when all the souls feel like running.
So I will pull you close to me
and let you hear my heartbeat,
for all strong women have always known,
the true test is being open.
