Have you ever touched a marble column? Not one of those garden variety stucco built new age ones... a Column that has held up to antiquities? It is pitted by time and etched with the passing winds, and yet it stands because it was built to... against any weather or water, incursion or strife. You can feel it's strength from feet away and know how hard it has been to stand. That's her smile. It is that column that holds up not roofs, but friends... not empires but hopes... Not a church but a belief. It is that gentle arc and curve that defines it's very nature and that despite all the rocks thrown at it's base, it will not fail.
