Chapter 10

-Jesse

I held Reuben tightly (I was also holding on to Petra's waist since I do not want to fall off, and the close contact was a little uncomfortable). "Do you have to drive over the-" I started to say when she pulled up at a huge house.

Oh my god. I took in a breath. Her house was huge. "Your house is huge." I said as we got off. She looked up at it, as if she was realizing it for the first time. 

  "Yeah, come on." Petra said and led me into the house.

Why was I doing this? Maybe I wanted to break it to him slowly? Or maybe I wanted to see him smile. 

  "My dad's a rich guy but I've never seen him work." I said and led him to my room, which was upstairs. I felt nervous since the only people who ever came was Lukas... 

  I slowly pushed open the door and Jesse grinned. "What?" I demanded as he stepped into the room. "It's...  very practical." Jesse smothered a laugh as I shoved him. "You have a piano?" he asked and I saw him walk over to the keyboard which I haven't touched for ages.

  "And a guitar." I swept a hand towards it. "Okay... well, I play the piano." Jesse confessed. I smirked then I pulled him into the seat next to me. "Wait- Petra." he said quickly and l flinched when he accidentally leaned on the keys.

  "Do you know PVRIS?" Petra asked, her dark eyes shining. "What?" I replied and she swiftly took out her phone, which was blue, like her piano and her bike.

  There was a guitar intro and a girl singing. 

  Oh I know
I can feel the shifting in my bones
Enclosed are senses so unknown
I've been changing, falling, fading
There's demons at the door patiently waiting


But I, wasn't, composed of broken bones or demon limbs
So please watch over me, and be the light to carry me
Please be the light, please be the light that carries me

Petra started singing... and it was the most beautiful thing I'v ever heard.
