I decided to make my way to Jesse again. But I didn't know where he was. Maybe I should go to the receptionist? I had no other choice anyway. I stepped into the hallway and made my way to the lifts.

I waited at the counter, trying to get the nurse's attention. I waited for a good five minutes and finally, the woman noticed me hovering around.
"Hello there." She said pleasantly and I managed to muster a smile.
"Hi, I kinda forget what room was Axel Roth in." I said slowly and she nodded.
"Let's see." She said and spent another good five minutes trying to find the room number. "Room five- one two." She replied and I nodded again. "Thank you so much for your help." I said sarcastically and went off.
How could I not remember the room number? I tried to reach further into my memories. What did my mother look like?
I pressed the button for the lift. I breathed in the hospital smell and tried to recall some more.
When the lift doors opened, I saw her standing outside. Petra. She looked up when the doors opened and her mouth dropped open in shock. "Petra..." I started to say when she rushed into the lift and hugged me.
I stood there, with my arms suspended in mid-air, still shocked as she hugged me tightly. Luckily there wasn't anyone in the lift with us.
"Where were you?!" she demanded when she let go, her face flushed,as if she sensed that she went too far. "I was... lost." I put a hand on my head and she bit her lip.
"Lost?" she repeated and rolled her eyes. "What were you doing anyway?" I asked as we got out of the lift, heading towards Axel's room. "Looking for you, of course." She said nonchalantly.
"Petra?" I spun around and saw a blonde guy, with brilliant blue eyes, which narrowed when he saw me.
"Oh... hey Lukas." Petra smiled and the guy stepped forward, weaving past some patients as they chattered away. "What brings you here?" He asked and looked at my green eyes. I stared back, challenging him.
"Oh... Jesse's friend is hospitalized." Petra replied and looked at me. Lukas looked at us, as if weighing something. "Okay." He replied and Petra nodded. "Well, what brings you here?" She asked and Lukas gestured to his arm, as if he was expecting the question.
"Well, I'll see you around?" Lukas said slowly and Petra nodded, oblivious that Lukas was glaring at my hand, which was holding onto Petra's arm. She kept me grounded but Lukas just dropped his gaze and spun on his heel as he walked away, with an air of finality.
