Yellow Fever: Why It's Bullshit

Hey guys, it's Kane.

This post is possibly going to be a sensitive topic. I've wrestled with this for quite a while now. Probably a few years. Basically, the underlying theme of my conundrum is this:

Is it racist to primarily date one race/find them a bit more attractive than others?

So let me start this off with a little background on me, Kane. As you well know I'm currently a college student living in Ohio. Majoring in East Asian Language and Culture as well as International Studies. I'm very accepting of different cultures, sexual preference/gender preference, religious beliefs, etc. Naturally I'm open to dating men or women outside of my own race.

This has lead to a very interesting pattern. Now I DID NOT DO THIS ON PURPOSE. LET ME STRESS THAT.

Basically, the majority of partners I've had are Asian. My ex is Korean. My current partner is Chinese. An extremely brief fling in between was Vietnamese.
I know.

What the fuck Kane.

You have Yellow Fever.

Now before you solidify the image of a greasy white guy/girl groping all over some poor Asian person, let me explain

Now before you solidify the image of a greasy white guy/girl groping all over some poor Asian person, let me explain. I have had a white boyfriend before. It was not a bad relationship. Definitely nowhere near the one I have now, but a standard high school trial and error. I find white, black, etc. etc. people attractive. Have you seen Ryan Reynolds and Jessica Alba? You cannot tell me you wouldn't think about tapping that. This list could go on for ages, I'm disgusting I know.

So where do we leave "normal" attraction territory and enter this loathed Yellow Fever status?

I've had a few people tell me I have it. Plenty of my friends rib me about it. I'm not quick to get irritated about it. Yeah, my track record is pretty soaked with extra salty soy sauce if you catch my drift.

Alright sorry that was a bit out of line

Alright sorry that was a bit out of line. Once you get to know me, you'll understand just how filthy my mind is. Milo too. We're like walking trash reservoirs.

Anyways, there's always that one person that takes things too far. You probably know someone like this. They keep making tasteless jokes over and over again until all you can picture is their face colliding with a frying pan.
