Not really though. I had an amazing time in China. Ate a ton of food, saw many different things... Met more people than I can count. It ranged from a drunk monk to a former spy of the Chinese government. Complete truth. My boyfriend's family knows a looooooot of people.
Anyways, this is going to be a collage of terrible tourist photos and background stories of what they are. It'll be quite long since I took many photos and have a lot to explain. I will probably need to divide this into two parts. So, it you're interested, sit back and grab a nice beverage. It's story time.
On June 1st I arrived in Hong Kong, seriously sick from my 18 hour flight and disoriented as hell. Now I've never flown anywhere outside of the U.S., not even outside of the Midwest. I'm a smol baby when it comes to international travel. So I meandered off the plane and into the terminal, wondering where the fuck my bags where. Luckily, I followed the experienced of the group and eventually made it.
Now the great part was that I had no cellular service despite Verizon signing me up for the "international travel plan". Don't do that, just buy a new SIM card. You get a total of ten minutes of data before Verizon starts charging you $40. Not worth it. So I was alone and at a loss as to where I was supposed to go now. 30 minutes later I finally found the exit and was never happier to see my boyfriend in my ENTIRE life.
So, we get onto the airport subway after failing to get me a Visa for China (I forgot my old passport) and I finally got my first glimpses of Hong Kong.
