Chapter three

Cecil and I walk to lunch to find Lou sitting at a table with Piper. We sat down next to Lou and Jason Grace comes and sits on the other side of Pipes.
'I swear to gods if he sits here..' I thought. Percy sits across from Jason and Annabeth greets us and sits next to him, Frank and Hazel come over as well. I hold my breath, Nico walks over and greets his friends. He sits down right in front of me. I wanted to bash my head on the table and run away, but I couldn't. Lou greeted him.
"Hey Nico"
"Hey" he said quietly.
"Bro, they're in our chemistry class you can talk to them" Jason told him.
"I know, Grace." he said annoyed. He looked down at the table.
"Hey Jace scoot over" Leo's voice  interrupted the silence. Everyone on my side scooted over to make room.

"Well if it isn't the freaks, all at one table too" A voice said. Everyone's heads snapped in the direction of the voice, Drew Tanaka and her minions stood beside the table.

"Go away, Tanaka" somebody growled.
"No, I think I'll stay"
"Leave us alone" Nico muttered.
"Oh come on di Angelo I know you like me, I wouldn't mind if you asked me out" she flirted, batting her spidery eyelashes. I was about to throw something at this girl.
"No. Not even if you were the last girl on earth" he said glaring.
"Oh right I forgot. You're a gross gay aren't you? Are you dating that blond across from you? What's his name? Bill or something? Is that why you're so defensive?" She questioned. Her minions snickered. I turned pink and Nico's eyes went wide.
"What no!" We said, he looked at me and blushed, looking down.
"Well he's a gay too so maybe you fags should be together." She turned away and left. (I'm sorry,I hate that word) My mouth was hanging open slightly.
"You're gay?" Cecil asked me.
"No." I replied frantically.
Nico glared at the table when I said this. I mentally smacked myself. I should've told Cecil the truth. But Lou was the only person who knew I was gay. I couldn't come out to everyone right then. But why did Nico seem upset at my answer?

Lunch ended and I went back to class with Cecil. My fourth period class was art and I had it with Hazel. She was a freshman and I was pretty sure she liked Frank. I went to gym next and found out Percy and Jason were in my class. Sadly, Drew was as well. And, of course just because some great force in the universe hates me, Nico was in my gym class. Everything was going fine, we were just playing basketball and I'm decent at that, until the end when I tried to leave the gym. Nico and I tried to go out the door at the same time. I bumped into his shoulder. I went pale in the face. He turned to me.
"Watch it, Solace"
"S-sorry" I managed to stutter out. Great job odiot.
"Yo, Nico, Will wait up!" I heard Jason call out. We stopped and waited as Jason and Percy jogged over and exited the gym with us.
"What class are you going to?" Percy questioned.
"History" Nico and I said in unison. Shist.
"Who do you have?" I asked him. We had the same class.
"Fantastic" he muttered. We walked to our class was in awkward silence.
"Sorry about Drew by the way" he muttered.
"What about her?"
"She said we were dating. And you're straight."
"It's fine. Uh, I'm not straight." I mumbled. I held my breath waiting for a response.
"But at lunch you told Cecil you weren't gay."
"Yeah well, I'm not out. Lou knows but that's it, I should've told him but I didn't want everyone knowing." I ranted.
"I get it."
"Thanks. Uh, you're gay too?" I asked nervously.
"Yeah." He replied simply.
"Cool." He nodded.
We reached our class and went in, I picked a seat in the back and Nico sat next to me.
He's sitting next to me, he's in four of my classes and he talked to me. He's gay too. Maybe this wasn't  such a bad day after all.

Sorry I took so long to upload, I was having trouble with this chapter. The next one will be up soon hopefully and it will be a time skip of a week or so.
