Chapter 39 : Arrested

Both reached their places and rewinded the whole day's happenings in their minds. There was a small smile that crept on their faces remembering it. It felt like they were living the old days... the same playfulness, cribbing about small things and annoying each other for petty issues. But alas those days were long gone and couldn't be got back even if they wanted to.

Next day they practiced as gracefully as they could fulfilling all the requirements of a good couple dance as both didn't want to get handcuffed again to each other. Others were impressed looking at the dance they just performed.

Finishing the day's practices they all reached towards their office's.

*** Sanyukta's Office ***

Sanyukta knocked reaching Aryan's cabin and went inside.

A : Hello!! What did you do yesterday that your professor had to call me saying that you wouldn't be coming to work??

S : I didn't do anything.

A : Oh come on. I am sure there was something that had kept you at college because this has never happened! Tell me.

S (low voice) : I was handcuffed to someone.

A (shocked) : You were what???

S : You heard it right. Don't make me say again.

Aryan starts laughing clutching his stomach but seeing Sanyukta's glare hides it with a cough and composes himself.

A : Care to explain.

S : There's a guy Ra... ummm... whom I don't talk to. He is kinda egoistic considers too high of himself and he hates me so I had to perform with him in the programme and that guy ended up saying I quote "We ain't comfortable with each other." And Vardhan sir to make us comfortable and amiable with each other ended up cuffing us to each other for a whole day!! Can you believe it?? It was so tiresome for me!

A (chuckles) : Whoaaa!! A guy who ain't comfortable with you! Seems different. That's something I never heard of in last 2 years. Seems new to me and special too. Tell me about him.

S (murmurs) : Special and different that he will always be.

A : What did you say??

S : Uhh.. nothing... forget about him. This is the invitation for the function and you have to come. You have got no choice. It's an order.

A : Yeah.. your sir called me and invited me for this. Too good of him.

Aryan looked at the card reading the names of the "Chief guests" and arched his brow.

A : Uhh.. I don't think I would be able to make it on that day.

S : You can't do this to me. You have to come and you have no right to make excuses. You are my only family here. Please!! Pretty please for me.

A : Okay fine... I will come. Stop the drama.. Drama queen.

S (grinning) : Thanks a lot.

*** Randhir's Office ***

Randhir reached the office and knocked Sanaya's cabin.

Sanaya : Hey!! Come in.

Randhir : Hey... sorry for yesterday and here is the invitation.

Sanaya : Ohh yeah.. your professor called me. So what happened yesterday.

R : Well.. I was stuck up with someone.

Sanaya : Oh... stuck up ha!!

R : Nothing like that just handcuffed with some girl because sir wanted us to behave properly with each other. You know!!

Sanaya : Wow that's news. (Grins)

Sanaya sees the card and sees the list of "Chief Guests" and smirks.

Sanaya : I would surely come Randhir!! No second thoughts to that.

R : That's great.

*** Next Day ***

Two days were left for the program and now the practice was going on in full fledge and no lectures were being conducted. The whole college was indulged to give the best shot after two days. And same was with our scholar group.

When Vardhan sir with the Principal along with the cops came.

Vardhan : Randhir you are being arrested.
