Brief Synopsis : A short chapter on how Chip's life was like before he was adopted and went to the DogsOfGoldenHill Kennel

Bright sunlight drifted down through the kitchen window like a golden feather, going soft and slow and leaving a gentle touch on the tile. As if seeing the feather, slippery paws slid on the cold surface, trying to chase it in eager pursuit.

Paws batted at the stream of light, trying to catch it as quick as it could before it gave up and flopped on its belly. A small grunting noise escaped the lips of the animal.

"Travis!" Around the corner someone called out to the animal laying on the floor. Immediately it's tail started to thump on the tile, the fur splayed out all over in a heaping fluffy mess. The puppy knew that voice, and already knew that he could associate it with play time.

A young boy around 7 years old ran into the kitchen, bouncing a red ball and sliding in on his wool socks like the puppy had slid as if he was at a Splish Splash ride. A torrent of yips and "arfs" went up, along with giggling and sheer happiness.

Upon hearing his name, "Travis", the small belgian tervuren dog jumped up, and ran towards the boy. Together he bounced the ball and the boy and dog chased after it.

All day long the boy played with the puppy named Travis. They went into the lake, they ran around the backyard, and they played with the squeaky red ball some more. They played until night time, when the boy's mother tucked him in. Knowing the day was done, Travis ran to his little dog basket, and snuggled in for the night.
