A Hard Day

Hiccup's POV:
I have been working my butt off for the past 5 months since I became chief, I sure don't know if being chief is the job for me but I know that I have a duty to my people, so if that means working until I can nearly keep my eyes open, then that's what I'm going to do. I walk next to Toothless, I pat him on the head and he gives me a "Rawwwwlll". I smile at him and I open the door to my house and I walk in with him behind me. I look to my left and see Astrid on the couch asleep. I saw Toothless lie down and close his eyes to go to sleep, then I walked over to Astrid and sat next to her on the couch. She opened her eyes and looked at me with her beautiful ocean blue eyes then I asked, " Why are you sleeping on the couch and not in our bedroom? " she still looked tired but she said " I was waiting for you to get home. " And that's all she said and she then closed her eyes again. She looked pretty tired, so was I but I picked her up from the couch anyway and put her in our bed. I looked at her beautiful self once more before I started taking off my armor to get ready for bed. I pulled of my green tunic, took off my peg leg and set it beside my bedside and got on the bed and pulled the covers over me. I then pulled my wife closer to me where she buried her face into my chest and I was fast asleep.

The next day~

Astrid's POV:
I opened my eyes to see the sun shining in the room I look over to my side to see Hiccup still asleep. I brush over the top of his head to feel his soft Auburn locks and kiss his cheek. He doesn't open his eyes, which is weird since he always wakes up after I kiss him, I guess this is just because he's really tired. So I throw the covers off of me and I get out of bed. I start putting on my armor and my hoodie and I brush my hair and put it into a side braid and I walk out of the bedroom and I walk down stairs to the kitchen to make myself a cup of milk. I drink every last drop and wiped my mouth, then I sat on the couch. I hear the bedroom door open so I look behind me to see a very tired Hiccup trying to get ready to go to do his chief duties. I walk up stairs up to the bedroom to see Hiccup putting on his armor. I walk up behind him and  kiss him on the ear. He turns around to look at me, he stares at me with his beautiful emerald eyes, and doesn't stop looking straight into my eyes, we just stand there looking at each other before I feel myself closing my eyes and I feel something touch my lips. He kissed me and I kissed him back, I had that feeling that you get when you kiss someone you feel like you're falling in love all over again. Our kiss deepened, and I feel like it is only me and him in the world. He breaks the kiss and I look into his eyes and he looks into mine and says " I love you " I look at him and I say " I love you too " he hugs me and says " I will see you tonight " and he lets go. I say okay and he walks down the stairs and out the door with Toothless. And I think to myself, I am so lucky to have Hiccup, he is my everything. Then I sit on the couch and watch the fire.
