Chapter 2

(Y/N)'s P.O.V

I broke the hug and we all went inside. "So Yang you have you gotten any new boyfriends?" I ask as we all take a seat on the couch.

"Nah, I'm just chilling and going through life right now," She says with a shrug.

"What about me?" Ruby asks.

"What about you?" I say back. "Why don't you ask me if I got any new boyfriends?" She asks with a slight pout.

"Ruby, if anyones dating you, I'm gonna have to break them," I say relaxing into the couch. Ruby gets a little too excited for my liking after I had said that. I didn't even notice Yang stand up

"I'm gonna go take a nap, see you two later," Yang says heading upstairs.

"Ok!" I yell back as Yang disappears from my view. I look at Ruby who has her usual adorable innocent smile.

"What'd you want to do Ruby?" I ask laying my head on her lap and putting my legs up on the couch. Ruby jumps a bit in surprise, probably from me laying on her.

"Oh, umm, do you want to hear about school so far?"

"Sure, Rubes, go for it," I say back closing my eyes.

"So, umm, oh I know! I met this girl named Weiss Schnee and she didn't really like me at first, but now we're cool. We're like best friends," Ruby says as she starts to run her hand through my hair. "That's cool. Why didn't she like you at first?" I ask with a yawn.

"Oh, funny story I kinda, maybe, blew up when we first met." I open my eyes and give her a confused look.

"Blew up?" I question. "Yeah, but not like I got angry, I literally blew up," She says getting quieter towards the end of her sentence.

"Ok, how'd you do that?" I ask closing my eyes again.

"I was looking for Yang and I bumped into one of her carts that had a suitcase full of dust. It ended up falling on the floor and when I was gonna give one I found on the ground back to her something made me sneeze,"She says quickly, but I manage to hear it probably because I've known her for so long.

"Then you blew up?"

"Then I blew up," Ruby says with a sigh. I can't help but laugh.

"Stop laughing, that explosion really hurt," Ruby says with a pout.

"I'm sorry Ruby, but you blew up on your first day how can I not laugh," I sit up on the couch and turn to face her. I see Ruby still giving me a pouty face.

"Come here you cutie," I say while pulling Ruby into a hug and laying down on the couch again. Ruby grows a slight blush at this, but I decide not to mention it.

"(Y/-"

"Shh, just accept your fate." I interrupt her.

"You said you'd listen to me," Ruby whines.

"And I will, but I just got quite tired. So let's just take a nap like Yang," I say with a yawn. "Can we at least go lay on a bed?" Ruby whines. It makes since, since I am the only thing holding her back from falling off the couch.
