Chapter 3

Yang's P.O.V

After (Y/N) had turned all the lights back on I went to my room. I was watching outside as the sun started to set when there was a knock on the door. I open to see (Y/N) standing there with a saddened look. "Yang, I need to show you something," He says.

"Sure, come in," I say, letting him in. He drops on the bed with a long sigh. "Is it your semblance?" I ask.

"Yeah," He responds plainly. Usually, he wouldn't let anyone see him like this, but I had accidentally found out his secret when we were kids. "Alright show me," I say sitting next to him. He nods and I feel myself start to get dizzy.

I see the world around us start to go black. "Wow, it's a lot worse than before," I say to myself looking for any light. Soon I start hearing voices.

"Welcome back," A creepy voice echoes through the air. I feel a hand run through my hair. I quickly move away and run towards a spot I know of.

As I make my way there someone keeps playing tricks on me, like making places appear, or dropping knifes from above. I stop and try to remember where I'm going.

"I remember this place," The voice echoes, "After you learned of this spot you'd always come here when he brought you in. It was such a struggle for me here and now look at it," The voice tells me.

"Now it's another blank space," I say starting to remember that (Y/N) has a big problem.

"Aw, come on Yang, it'll always be in the memories area," It says, "Anyways, why are you back?" The voice asks me.

"So much of your mind is dark now," I tell it. (Y/N) finally shows up as he takes the seat by me.

"Shadow, go," (Y/N) says sternly.

"Yeah, yeah," The voice responds.

"Not much I can do about it " (Y/N) says with a shrug.

"You could always go see another therapist or another one of those professional semblance people," I say back.

"They wouldn't be able to help. Only my original parents would and who knows what happened to them," He says sadly. I take a seat next to him and lean my head on his shoulder.

"You're gonna have to tell Ruby eventually," I remind him.

"I know, but she's gonna try and fix it," He says.

"Yeah, and what if she can help?" I ask.

"I'd be impressed, but nobody knows how quickly I'm breaking and I don't want anyone to worry," He says while rubbing my head gently. He's one of the only people I'll let touch my hair.

"That's why you need to tell Ruby soon," I say. He sighs.

"Yang, I don't know how much longer I can keep up my calm and cool act. I mean who knows how long it is until I'm completely gone," He tells me starting to tear up. I wipe away some tears from his eyes.

"You'll be fine, just stay with us as long as possible," I remind him. He nods. "It's about time we get outta here," He says regaining his calm composure. I nod in agreement.

"I'm sorry (Y/N)," I say quietly.

"It's fine, I just... really needed to show somebody," He tells me.

-CRACK-

"What was that?" I ask quickly standing up.

"Another part of my mind breaking, I can hear it even when I'm not in here now," He says standing up as well.
