After our morning sparring session, we fixed the room up, putting my bed back, and all the furniture along with it. After we were finished cleaning up the room, we packed our bags, getting ready to finally leave this hotel, and get back on the road, to get to the society. I was more than ready to leave, ever since the waitress had told me what the guys told her to say to me. I didn't want anymore trouble that wasn't necessary, I didn't want to fight people in the middle of a fancy and expensive hotel. I flung my bag over my back then looked over at Eighteen. "Are you ready?" I said, noticing the bruise I gave him was gone.  "Yeah. I'm ready, let's go." He grabbed his bag, and then walked out of the room. I followed him, wondering how the bruise had healed so quickly. We got into the elevator, and I placed my hand on his face, where the bruise was supposed to be. "How did it heal so quickly?" He pulled a bottle of pills out of his bag. "The society produces these pills for their soldiers. It heals them quicker, and gets them back on the battlefield." He said quickly, putting them back in his bag before the elevator doors opened.

We walked out of the elevator, back on the first floor, to check ourselves out. I walked over to a wall, leaning on it while Eighteen checked us out and handed our keycards back to the desk lady. Whenever I was with Eighteen I couldn't seem to take my eyes off of him, I don't know if it's because he's my protector, or something else. After a couple minutes he came walking over to me, grabbing me by the arm lightly and pulling me towards the door. "We have to go. Someone is watching us." I sighed, letting him pull me towards the doors out of the hotel. I forgot to tell him about the guys watching me last night, and these are probably the same people watching us now. I stopped, planting my feet on the ground, so we couldn't walk any further. "I forgot to tell you, but I saw guys watching me last night, at the restaurant. They talked to my waitress and told her to tell me to watch my back." He instantly raised an eyebrow after I said that. "Why didn't you tell me?" I didn't know what to say. "I don't know. I was preoccupied." With that, he sighed and started to pull me out of the hotel, again.

Once we were out of the hotel, I noticed the group of guys from last night surrounding the car we had stolen. "Eighteen. That's them." I said, nodding towards them. "Stay here. I'll handle them." He let go of my arm, after saying that and walking towards the car.

----------------------Eighteen----------------------

I walked towards the group of guys standing by the car, I don't care who they are, or what they're doing, but I was about to destroy them. "Hey there, dude." One of them said. I gave a fake smile, then once I was close enough, I grabbed him by the head, slamming it into the car. He fell down right after his head hit the car. One of his buddies came at me, trying to punch me. I dodged him, grabbing his arm and snapping the bone. At the same time, another guy came at me. I kicked him in the gut, then picking up the guy with the broken arm, and throwing him at his buddy. The next guy pulled a knife out of his pocket, and smiled like he was about to win. I wasn't going to give him that, I charged at him, punching the knife out of his hand, then spinning around So I was behind him. I kicked him in the back, sending him flying into the concrete. Two guys stood up, the others were down for now.  I waited for them to come at me, I was going to let them think they were about to win. Once they came at me, they both grabbed one of my arms, trying to force me onto the ground. I bashed myself into the guy on the left, then freeing my arm, grabbing him, and slamming him into the guy on the Right. They both went out, once their heads smashed together.

After I made sure no one was watching me, I picked up the guys one by one, moving them away from the car. I did want to hurt them, but I didn't want to kill them, that would be unprofessional. I waved over to Emerald "We're all clear, Let's move out." after saying that, I got into the drivers seat and started the car. A few seconds after that Emerald got into the passengers side, I looked at her, she looked more surprised than usual. She smiled a bit after she had realized I was staring at her "Have you never seen a soldier fight before?" I asked her, taking my eyes off of her. I backed out of the parking spot, waiting for a response from her. she finally spoke up after we were out of the parking lot "I've  never really seen anyone fight before, I've only started fighting when I was kidnapped after my brother died. I don't even know how I'm so good at it." she sighed, and put her seat back. I chuckled a little bit, and smiled as a thought popped into my head "Emerald, they're you're natural instincts, the ones that keep you alive. You may be a Princess, but you're not just a Princess, you're a warrior." I stated. My mission was never to be nice to her, build her up, or help her understand herself, my mission was to bring her home. I knew there were going to be consequences if the Elders found out about me being overly friendly. Even more so if they find out I might be developing feelings for her, I'm supposed to be stone cold soldier, not someone who feels, or dates.

She laughed genuinely "Thanks for the confidence booster. I've been needing a lot of those lately." she seemed happy for a second, but by the end of the sentence she was putting herself down again. She closed her eyes, probably thinking about everything in her life that has lead up into this point in time, she may be enhanced, but she still is a human teenager, full of emotions that she can't control. I wished I could help her feel better, I wished I could defy my orders even more so than I already have, I wished she could have no regrets. Her Mother and Father are dead, her Brother is dead, and her old life was left behind her, she has nothing left to lose now.  The one thing that makes a warrior great is having nothing left to lose, because that's when they have no cares, just a mission, no breaking points anymore. She was one of the most beautiful people I have ever seen, not fake at all, just natural. She wears everything on her sleeve, is always honest, and open. Emerald doesn't deserve to be dragged into this war, she's pure and kind, but its her birthright to save the world, even if she doesn't deserve the pain. I'm going to try my hardest to make sure she stays the same, even when she starts to adapt to being a princess and a warrior. The fate of the Society is in her hands, and I know she's capable of protecting us. I will be by her side through every fight, battle, and war even if it costs me my life.

My mind had been racing, the whole rest of the drive. Although I was distracted, I could still pay attention to driving the car, my mind was a million difference places at once. Emerald had fallen asleep a little while back, and I didn't bother waking her up, because once we got to the Society everything was going to change for her, again. I pulled up to a private airstrip, one owned by the Society, it was small, but held many advanced planes and jets. I got out of the car, closing the door quietly behind me, I walked over to the other side of the car, opening Emeralds door. I carefully picked her up out of her seat, trying not to wake her. She didn't wake up as I carried her to one of the jets. As I carried her to the jet, a panel on the side of the door scanned my face, then opened. I walked up the stairs with her in my arms, setting her down on one of the couches inside of the jet. The jet wasn't fancy looking on the inside, but was nice, comfortable, and had computer screens throughout the whole thing. I grabbed a blanket out of one of the compartments, and covered Emerald with it. I walked into the cockpit, turning the engines on, after that I walked out of the jet.

I jogged over to a little shed on the side of the airstrip, opening the door, and grabbing a canister full of regular gas. I pulled a lighter off the shelf of the shed, then closed the door. I jogged back over to the car, spreading the gas all over the outside of the car, and this inside. Once I was done smothering the car in gas I backed away from it, then lit the lighter. I held the lighter up to my face, watching the flame dance around in the wind. Without a second thought I threw the lighter at the car. Not even a second after the flame met the gas on the car, it erupted into flames, then exploding into multiple pieces of metal. I walked away, getting back into the jet, and closing the door behind me. I got into the cockpit, checking all the readings for the jet, making sure it was ready to fly us to the Society. I grabbed the controls, looking back to get one last glance at Emerald before my mind and body would have to be focused on flying this thing. I smiled, she looked peaceful and comfortable. With that, I turned back towards the controls, and off we went.
