All of the Elders were sitting down in their chairs, staring at Tom and I as we entered the dining room. They didn't look pleased that Tom had called this meeting for me on such short notice. But, did I give a fuck? No. My mission is clear right now, and I'm not going to let these power-hungry snobs get in my way, I never have before. Even when I thought I was a normal girl, I never let the snobby rich kids get in my way, or pick on the people I cared about. Tom walked over to his seat, and sat down, he then nodded at me, and smiled. I walked closer to the table, so each and everyone one of the Elders could see me better. For what I was about to propose, I needed their full and undivided attention, and I was going to get it. My ring formed into a sword, and I tapped it against the table, making a sound and a statement that got their attention. I locked eyes with Ryder for a moment, then looked around at the others "Listen, I know you guys don't like me, and frankly, I don't like you. So, in light of that, let's cut the formalities and get straight to it, shall we?" I watched as they all nodded in agreement, I could tell that Tom was holding in a laugh, but he nodded. "I'm the Society's best chance at winning this war, and everyone in this room and in the walls of this kingdom knows it. In order for me to win this war, there are things that need to be done. Things that I need to do alone, to prepare myself for what's coming."  They looked at each other, then waited for me to finish.

I looked over at Tom, and he nodded at me, his voice in my head started suddenly. "You got this, don't take too long of a pause, you'll lose their interest and your train of thought." Stupid telepath, always lurking around in my head. At least he was on my side, though, and I could count on him to help me every step of the way, If I needed it. "I had a Geneticist decode my DNA, and we found out that when I'm in dangerous situations, I'm more likely to generate a new power to fit my scenario. That's been my power from the start. To adapt to my current situation using constant evolution." I gave them a few moments to process what I was telling them, they probably had no Idea what I was talking about. I started to study their faces, and the looks on their faces confirmed my suspicion. I'm sure they were just as confused as I was about all of this. I continued "Right now, with the powers I have, I couldn't win this war. Strength, Speed, Stamina, Senses, Reflexes, Animal Telepathy, Healing, and even my ring. Its not enough to beat all the demons and Satan. Even with Soldiers and my friends. I need more powers, and I know how to get them." I watched as Ryder scooted closer to the Elder next to him, and started to whisper. I sighed, and formed my sword back into its ring form. I had completely forgotten all about it. After a couple of minutes, Ryder finally looked back at me and started to speak, "What exactly is it that you need to do in order to get these new powers? And how do you know it will be something that will win this war?" He actually sounded sympathetic for once.

I chuckled a little, and thought to myself, then looked at Ryder, then the other Elders "Well. I need to be in a dangerous situation. A really dangerous situation, and I need to be alone. I need to feel desperate, stranded, and surrounded. I don't know if its going to be some awesome power that I'll get, and it will win the war. But, I trust myself, my powers, and my parents. If I don't get some power that will win the war, I will figure out some other way to win it. Even if I have to fight so hard I die in the process. This is my war. This is my Society. This is my birthright. I will end this war, no matter what it takes. My parents created me for a reason. So they could love me, so I could protect everyone here, and so I could end this goddamn war. And I intend to do it." I watched as the Elders turned to talked to each other, a smile on some of their faces, like I had just given an inspiring speech or something. Or maybe they were starting to warm up to me, finally starting to like me, and realize I would make a great princess without them trying to take away my political power. Tom's voice was in my head again "Even if I was in your shoes right now, I couldn't have said anything better than what you just said. You make a great princess, and a great leader. Even the king of angels is impressed by your moving speech." I didn't react to what Tom had said to me, I didn't want to give away that we were communicating, or randomly smile or laugh, and everyone start thinking I'm crazy. Especially when some of them just started liking me.
