I- Green Café

"She is a queen. Her soul is royalty.
-Adrian Michael."

"It's a happenstance, Mirelle. Do not expect anyone to believe in it. ", said the Queen abruptly.

"But, my lady, it's true. There's someone that might interconnect two or even hundreds of worlds. ", she said convincingly. But the Queen is not well convinced.

"It was stated in the L book that it would happen thi-"

"Books have their own lies, even the old and trusted ones. But perhaps I would believe you if you could bring me that boy here.", said the Queen with a cold, stern voice.

"Yes, my lady. We will do whatever it takes. And I would like to remind you that this, my lady, is a very important matter. Especially to those who live in this limitless world.", she said respectfully as she bowed in front of the Queen.

"I already spent a lot of time talking to you. You may now go."

"Caramel Macchiato, please."

Charlie answered the waiter in green and black apron, while reading a newspaper. She entered the Green Cafè that has layers of small brown couches, each one having round table.

The article on the newspaper was about plants that had scattered across Soahc that had different insides when cut or torn. She grew up in Soahc, the city that runs 2,000 miles across the sea. She looked at the newspaper incredulously. There were only few plants and trees there in Soahc because of the worse pollution. Without the roads, and buildings, it would almost look lime a desert.

She stopped reading when her phone  vibrated. She reached for it.

It's Ethan. She suddenly remembered the smell of the green grasses, the loud yells of the children, scattered popcorn and spilled juices on the ground, memories struck her like lightning. Each of them were making funny sounds while laughing and playing board games. One of those children was Ethan, the boy she have known for years.

Ethan and Charlie's mothers were friends. The two had met when Charlie was nine years old, while Ethan was ten. But as time passed by, it's normal to lose people you became friends with. Charlie's mother died because of a car accident, while Ethan decided to move to another country.

The two remained friends when Ethan went back home in Soahc. They have been classmates for three years. She's seventeen while he's eighteen right now.

I know that you're in that Green Cafè and you woke up early. Come here, I will show you something!

She hastily finished the cup of coffee and went outside. Outside the cafeteria, beside the transparent glass wall, was a plant box, and beside it was her bicycle.

She started to pedal.

The road without the vehicles is wide, for the workers and students are usually preparing as of this time because classes are about to start. After minutes of pedaling on the Brown Road, she passed by her house where her grandfather was.

Another minutes of pedaling required her to reach Reese, their university. She parked the bicycle beside the stairway. She climbed up the stairway along the entrance. The stairway handle was full of balloons, and the floor was full of conffeti. Seniors stood there, patching up the walls with designs.

She entered the entrance, with sides of an open door, behind it, stood a familiar boy. He was wearing headphones connected to a wire to his phone inside his pocket. He was wearing an open jacket with plaid pattern, inside it, was a plain white t-shirt and pants at the bottom.

He looked at her in a peculiar way, from toe to head. He smirked. Charlie was wearing a black shirt that said 'Book, coffee, and imagination', while white jeans at the bottom. The moment their eyes met, they gave each other a high five. Ethan fixed his glasses while turning to the corridor.

He half-dragged her to the corridor. "You will surely like this." He smirked. She had felt the warmth of his hand before, strapping her wrists, just as how he did before.
