"You've got no place to hide. And I'm feeling like a villain got a hunger inside. One look in my eyes. And you're runnin' 'cause I'm comin' gonna eat you alive."

Their house has three floors. They climbed up to the stairways quickly. Three men were chasing Ethan and Charlie. The two reached the attic, which was dark and dusty. They closed the door right on time before the men started banging it loudly. The door was made up of metal that's strong enough for them to be safe there. But they don't know how long it would stand there.

Ethan brought his gym bag with him. Charlie brought a wisk with her. She threw it at the door.

"What the hell is wrong with them? What had grandpa done wrong?", she said with fury. She tried to calm herself but it never worked.

"We don't know, okay? Let's just hope that door would last until they retreat. What's your plan?"

"Let's head to the back of the shelf. That's what he said.", trying to stop her tears from falling.

The attic was dusty. They sneezed in chorus as they walk toward the back of the shelf. They sat beside the wall, unseen with the shelf in front. She started crying.

He was about to go to her when he stepped on something. "What was that?"

There's a handle on the floor. It was cold and mettalic. He tried to pull it, but failed; it was too heavy.

"Hey can you help me with this?"

They can't see each other through the dark but he can feel the handle.

"They stabbed him. I'm worthless!", her sobs began to volumize.

"Hey, you're not. I was just asking if you can help me pull this handle."

"Pull what?", she stopped crying.

"This!"

She reached for it. They pulled hard enough the cover was removed. They placed it beside the hole. It showed a round hole, light shining from it. The two got their hopes up.

Without hesitating she jumped right through it, she though it wasn't deep.

"Ow!"

"You did not warn me you were going to do that. "

Before he jumped, he turned the cover upside down so he would hold the handle and jump through the hole closing it. He did it as he held his breath. He released his hold onto the handle and jumped lightly like a paper.

The room was white. White enough as if it has been painted a while ago, as if it is not dusty.

"Did you hurt yourself?", he said as he examined the room. The room was blindingly bright. There's a table at the center. On top of it were two big old books.

"I just fell right on my knees."

She was still holding the medallion in her hands. They walked toward the table glancing repeatedly at the room. There's nothing much, just a room, a table, and two books.

She looked at the one that has WW written on it, while he took care of the other one.

"This doesn't make any sense. It's nothing but an empty book.", as he flip the pages.

"I, I cannot open this. There must be some kind of password."

He grabbed her hips to move her away when she suddenly leaned on the book with the medallion in her hands. Wave of shock made them dizzy. They felt like throwing up.

They found themselves in the middle of a forest. They can hear birds chirping, and other animal sounds. It's nearly midnight, it's eerie to be stucked in this kind of place at that time. She hadn't been to a forest before, so had Ethan, she thinks. The place was creepy, she couldn't help thinking if there were bugs or creatures lurking in this place. The two of them were sitting on the white ground. Clean like paper.

It occured to her that she is inside of a damn book. Was that even possible?

"We have to get out of here."

She turned to look at Ethan who had stumbled beside her looking scared or creeped out.

"We should, but how?"

"I don't know. Hadn't we just portaled? Maybe we could do it again or. . . Or, I don't know. This is just crazy!"

They were shocked when they heard a brushing sound of leaves and hissing just around them somewhere. They became alerted. Somebody's there or something's there.

They stood and placed there backs on each other. Ethan reached something in his pocket. He was holding something she doesn't know. Charlie placed the medallion in her pocket.

They were surprised when two pale bodies stood in front of them. Two of them, both boys. Green veins tattoed their skin like it can be touched externally. Their eyes have dark circles under. Their posture was decent, but the look on their face was puzzled, nearly furious. The two have very dark hair. It shines as moonlight gleamed on it, showing tiny glitters. They looked the same. The only difference was the one has blue eyes, while the other has green eyes. The one with the green eyes wears a white suit while the other wears red.

"How did you get here?", said a cold, stern voice. They became frozen. Their nerves getting cold.

"How did you get here?!"

"We. . . We don't know we just got here.", said Ethan while trembling. He sounded dumb but he didn't know what to do.

Ethan grabbed Charlie's wrist pulling her closer to him. "If you want to do anything bad you can do it to me. Leave her alone.", the grip on her wrist became tighter.

"Don't expect us to do what you want. Besides, I think you're new here, aren't you? This forest is guarded. No one without permission should stay or come here.", said the blue eyed one.

"Before anything else. . . I want to play with them.", said the one with green eyes. His white suit glinted as the moonlight striked. His eyes are filled with hunger. He seems serious. Charlie shivered as if a cold water ran in her spine.

"Oliver, do not. We're just here to fetch food.", the blue eyed one seemed innocent, unlike Oliver.

"Yes. That's what I'm thinking.", said Oliver as his fangs came out, blood dripping from his bottom lip.

Ethan slashed the knife he was holding. Light shone from it. The air burns around it. The two stepped backward quickly.

"Where'd you got that?"

"Would you believe me if I tell you that it just appeared? You don't believe anything I told you, do you?"

Charlie gasped. She hadn't seen anything like that before, but she feels like there's some connection between her and the dagger.

Oliver darted at the two of them, the other one on his back. It was like a blink of an eye when Oliver was already in front of Ethan. Ethan threw the dagger to him when it was stopped with a short metallic arrow. It flew away from them, the dagger and the arrow on the ground, the arrow letting out a small amount of smoke. It's melting. The ground that was white as paper showed up a dark burn.

"Enough", said a boy with an spiky onyx-colored hair with blonde highlights. He's wearing a black leather jacket, unzipped. He's not alone. He's with another boy holding a sword and a girl holding a crossbow.
