Books are uniquely portable magic
-Stephen King

What happened was very unexpected. First, her grandpa died, in her arms. And they fell into a book. A big story book. They were almost killed by vampires and then later on saved by people holding weapons.

She stared at the golden marble ceiling. It almost looked like a true gold. It has glitters. She remembered that she gasped by surprise when she first entered there. Below it hung a huge bright chandelier. The walls were marbled white. The floor was marbled black. In her whole life she hasn't seen anything like this. It's like a dream. They're on the living room, she thinks. It smelled like coffee beans there, it almost seems like. . . Relaxing.

She thought of the place they were in now. They're in a tower. Not to mention they climbed like a hundred steps just to get there. They're near the sky right now. While they're climbing up there, it was really cold, but when they reached the living room it became warm and cozy. Looks like they have a radiator.

The good thing was, it turned out that they've been there because they were saved. They were saved by a group of strangers wearing dark clothing, holding weapons.

"What's the thing you reached in your pocket?"

She turned at Ethan who was sitting beside her. They're on a huge white couch at the living room. There were like eight huge couches here. Ethan still has his gym bag with him.

"I reach many things in my pocket, Charlie.", he sighed as he leaned on the couch.

"The dagger."

"Oh, that um. You know I haven't told you this but I got that when you were scratched with a pencil, after you placed it there. It turned into a dagger. The weird thing is, anything it touches, burns."

He reached for it. It's still in his pocket.

"But it doesn't affect the one who owns, or holds it. And I think this thing should be back to its owner.", his face nearly blank out of exhaustion of what happened earlier. He handed it to Charlie.

"Thanks.", she smiled.

She's somehow astonished with what it looks like. She almost gasped. It's just the length of her forearm. Its handle is silver while the blade is gold. It shines as the chandelier reflects on it. Did she really do that?

"Looks like you two are in a bubble. Nothing's inside but the two of you.", she said it like she's stating a fact. She's sitting on another white couch in front of them, but it looks like the couch looks nicer when she sits on it.

"I'm Alliae.", she offered her hand at Ethan. She was wearing a white see through loose cropped top with a black bralette inside. She's wearing a black leather jeans suited with a black leather boots.

She has a ginger-colored hair with length just above her shoulders. She has a smoky eyeshadow paired with a matte red lips. She's gorgeous.

"Cool, I'm Ethan.", Ethan shook her hand.

"Ethan?"

"Ethan Johnson.", he smiled. He seems dazzled by her beauty. Who wouldn't be, anyways?

"And. . ."

"Charlie Keith Alouette.", she didn't offer her hand but she smiled. She seemed welcoming. Charlie cannot imagine her holding a crossbow.

A tall fine man entered the living room from a door connecting to another room. That room looks like a kitchen, the aroma of the coffee comes from it.

He was wearing a dark blue shirt that fits his biceps perfectly, paired with a black leather jeans, and boots. He has a blonde hair. He has brown and blue eyes. He's the one who held a silver sword. Charlie remembered her Mom, she has a blonde hair too.
