2:52am
You are worthless, my friend." The voice said.
"You aren't my friend." Josh said, feeling strong.
"How dare you. I am your only friend."
"Right, sorry."
"I want to ask you something." The voice sounded more human-like when it asked this. "Why the crap did you ask Tyler his name today?"
"I don't know. I was just thinking I should."
"Your girlfriend hates you."
"Why can't you ever stay on topic?" Josh whisper screamed, very frustrated.
"Shut up. And she does hate you."
And he believed him.
Why?
He's not sure.
So, he called her, right then and there, and left a message saying that he wanted to see different people. He wasn't sure who "different people" were, but breaking up with her, somehow, felt right to him.
After sitting in silence for a solid 10 minutes, he came to the conclusion to start his homework. He grabbed his notebook that fell out of his backpack today. For some reason it made Josh happy, thinking that Tyler touched the same book he was touching. Heck, Josh even remembered Tyler saying that he had the same one as Josh did. He set it down on his desk, grabbed a pencil and his English textbook, and a can of Red Bull. He opened the notebook.
All in his mind went silent. Even the voice had nothing to say.
This was not his notebook, it was Tyler's.
And it was absolutely horrifying.
