Chapter 23

*Anna*

I was horrified even to imagine what is going to happen with Myra. My heart was pounding furiously. 'Dear god, please save her' I prayed, as Alex went berserk grabbing Myra on his shoulder, he vanished out of the hall.

"Crap!! Shitty human slapped Alex" "what had happened with this family, they can't even manage their slaves" "Moreover I saw Alex was behaving very nice with that human girl and look how she abased him" "Poor Alex" I heard the murmurs of the crowd.

My eyes caught the sight of Mr. and Mrs. Goldberg, They looked embarrassed hearing the talks of the guest vampires. Their fists were clenched as they were struggling to hide their temper.

All the guests were gone on the request of Mr. and Mrs. Goldberg. They were seemed infuriated after what had happened in the party.

"That bloody bitch slapped my Alex. How could she dare? I am gonna chop that dirty hand of hers" Mrs. Goldberg grumbled as she catapulted the counter with loud explosion of shattering decanters and glasses on the floor.

"Calm down Dakota, Alex would decide what to do with her." Mr. Patrick comforted Dakota. Her jaw tightened as she tried to calm down her rage. After a while they turned to go to their respective room,

"Um Jake" Mr. Patrick stopped and turned around before calling Jake. That's the moment when we realized that Jake was nowhere in the hall while all this things were happening and still there is no sign of him.

"Jake is not showing anywhere. Where is he?" Mr. Patrick asked again.

"I will go and check in other rooms" I stuttered, he nodded and I left to find him.

Where has he gone? I didn't see him since I caught them making out. I thought he must be working around and I was so busy to take care of the guests that I didn't get time to talk with him.

I checked each and every room of the mansion but he is nowhere. Oh god, where is this boy? From last half an hour I am looking frantically all over but there is no sign of Jake. My head is not working, What's happening here?

Now only one room is left to check that is Master Alex's room.

I am literally shivering as I am nearing to his room.

'Should I go or not?' When I was debating in my mind, the door snapped open and I saw Alex walking out of room. He sensed my presence though I was ten feet away from room.

"Go and clean the mess. Shift her back to her room" He said in his usual pitch.

"Yes Master" I said bowing slightly. Then he walked away.

Actually I don't have courage to enter his room; I am unsure what have had happened with her; even that very thought is making me flabbergasted. I took a long breath and pulled the door with my shivering hands.

My eyes bulged out at the sight of her. "Myra", I exclaimed with utter shock, her body was buried in tattered, stained gown, there were so many wounds on her back, I gasped hard trying hard not to faint away. Tears ran down my cheeks as I touched her. I saw fatal bite marks on her neck. Is is she alive? I gulped down in fear and looked her carefully. I reached my shaky fingers at her nose; I sighed in relief, her breathing was low but at least she was alive. I put her into loose robe and with the help of a servant I placed her in her room.

I cleaned her wounds and applied turmeric powder on it. She didn't stir an inch as she was deeply unconscious. I was so much worried for her, she had lost too much blood and as far as her wounds I don't think it will heal any early. From now onwards her life would be worse than this, because as much as I know Alex and his family, there is no limit to their tempers.

*Myra*

I slowly shook my head and then hands with lot of difficulty, my vision was almost blurred for few seconds, I was laid on the bed. As I moved little more, I winced in pain. My back, it was burning like hell. The memories were still fresh in my eyes and I cried my heart out. My life was hell, everything is finished. I literally urged to die. I want to die. Why didn't he kill me? I could not bear this pain. He deliberately left me alive to suffer this pain.

"Careful" I heard concern voice as I tried to sit up. Anna showed up on the door. She came near me and held me softly in her embrace. Her eyes watered with tears. I cried so much on her shoulders.

"I am grateful to god that you are awake. Let me bring milk and food for you. You must be starving" She said lovingly wiping off my tears.

"Why didn't he kill me Anna, it would be better than this. He had already besmirched me, he spoiled me Anna. I am feeling dirty. I disgust myself, I puke on my life. Do you know what what..he..." I started crying and whimpering.

"Shhh shhh Myra. Please don't cry. As god has still kept you alive he must be planning something good for you. Trust me. Give me a moment. I will have some food for you, you need it, Ok." She said and kissed my forehead.

She got up and turned to leave but I stopped her gripping her wrist.

"Where is Jake?" I asked. She struggled to say, she seemed worried. I felt my heart clenched as she was taking too much time to say.

"Jake...Jake is missing since the day of party. He got vanished from this mansion and No one knows his whereabouts."

'There were so many vampires in the party. I am sure they too were callous like Alex. Did anyone of them harm Jake?' My heart skipped a beat. Tears escaped from my already wet eyes and I felt dizziness engulfing me.
