"Silas, please leave me be," she sighed.

"I cannot do that," he shrugged, "for I love you, Athena, and I refuse to watch you fall in love with someone else."

"You are to marry Qetsiyah," the brunette beauty rolled her dark eyes.

"My love, come with me and we can be together for eternity," his strong hand grabbed hers, his pleading eyes begging her to go with him.

"I cannot. I am sorry."

"Please forgive me, my love," he pressed two fingers to her forehead. "I am doing this for us."

Her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she went limp in his arms. He laid her down, caressing her face gently.

Silas positioned her body with her hands crossed over her stomach, and moved her hair out of her face. If it wasn't for the rise and fall of her chest, one might think that Athena was dead.

But she was simply asleep.

And that's how she would stay for over 2000 years.
