Damon sighed as the considerably smaller girl pulled away from the embrace, a small smile on her lips.
"I'm going to miss you," she glanced at Stefan. "Both of you."
"Are you sure you want to go?" Damon questioned, a part of him not wanting her to leave just yet.
Athena laughed, lightly shaking her head causing her soft curls to bounce, "I have dreamt of exploring the world my whole life, and now I finally can."
"Hey," Silas wrapped an arm around her waist as he joined them, finally having finished packing the car. "You ready to go?"
"What better way to do it than with the love of my life?" Athena beamed. "Yeah, I'm ready."
The immortal witch and the 2000 year old human made their way to Silas' car where he climbed in and started the engine. Athena hesitated for a moment before finally opening the car door.
"Hey, Athena!" Damon called out to her causing her to whip around. "If he gives you any trouble, you know who to call."
She laughed but nodded anyway, before climbing into the car. She strapped on her seatbelt and laced her fingers with Silas'.
Never in her life did she imagine herself in that situation, but she was bloody glad she was.
