ANCIENT GREECE - 2000 YEARS AGO

She sat on a marble bench in the large garden, the wind gently blowing her long dark tresses around her face, but she didn't seem to mind. Athena's deep brown eyes took in the beauty of the nature around her, the small smile on her soft lips not leaving once.

Silas had been watching her for at least half an hour now. He was aware how creepy it must have sounded but he couldn't help it. She was by far the most beautiful girl he had ever laid eyes upon.

Finally building up the courage to walk up to her, Athena's eyes instantly snapped to his figure. His entrancing green eyes, chiseled jawline, and muscular biceps almost convinced her that the young man before her was a God.

"Is this seat taken?" Silas pointed to the bench, and the brunette beauty gestured for him to sit. "I don't believe we've met. I'm Silas."

"Athena," she spoke slowly, a small smile on her pink lips. Her dark eyes found themselves fixated on the flower buds surrounding them once more. "It's a shame they have not bloomed yet."

"Indeed." He plucked a rose that was yet to bloom from a bush behind them, being careful not to prick himself on the thorns. "Perhaps there is something I can do about that."

He covered the bud with his large hand, closing his eyes to concentrate harder. Silas removed his hand after a moment, revealing a now fully bloomed red rose.

"Oh my, it's beautiful. How did you – " Athena's eyes widened in realisation. "You are one of the gifted ones."

"Indeed I am," he handed her the flower, taking her other hand in his and pressing it to his lips. "But now I must take my leave. I hope to see you around Athena."

"Oh, I'm certain you will." She watched with a smile as he left the garden.

Athena lifted the rose up to her nose, inhaling the scent deeply before letting out a content sigh.
