Chapter Two: A Friend Is Found

Darkocean opened the front door to her house. Her father,Shade, ran to her and yelled at her,"Where were you?! " he yelled with anger.

"I went to see Nightbr-"

"I told you not to see him!" Her father cut her off.

Darkocean blinked back tears,her father was always like this, and it hurt Darkocean, "Well...I...I will be seven tomorrow!" She yelled back, though, she was only five. Her father didnt know that.

Shade hissed, "Well, then move out and stay away from me!" He shouted walking to his room,"OKAY! I WILL! " Darkocean screamed at her father.

She ran to her room and fell on her bed, she sobbed, any moment now her father would walk in and say he is sorry, Darkocean learned he never really meant it.

Darkocean head foot steps,her father walked in her room,"Ocean.. I'm sorry I yelled at yo-"

"Go away!" Darkocean yelled at him,he sighed then growled, "Fine! Have it that way!" Shade yelled back at her.

"Your just jealous I don't spend time with you!" She screamed, Shade winced,Darkocean had hit a soft spot.

"Why don't you spend any time with me?!" He asked,Darkocean rolled her eyes, "Because you always time me to move out and stay away from you! Day after day!" She screamed, running out of the room.

As Darkocean ran she spread her wings and took off, tears falling from her cheek,

"If he wants to spend time with me, why does he tell me to move out!? What's so bad about me that he wants me to stay away from him?!"  She screamed in her head.

She heard wing beats behind her, she turned her head around. No one was there.

Darkocean landed in the Lokip Forest, the trees had a blue glow to them. And the Bushes were huge. Darkocean looked up at the sky,in Lokip forest, the sky had always seemed so much darker then normal. The clouds were a dark gray.

Hello?" She called. No answer. She heard rustling in one of the bushes, she turned her head. Nothing.

"Who's there?!" She yelled,it was dead silent. Suddenly a creature jumped out of the bush.

It had four icy blue eyes around it's pink nose. Its mouth had fangs sticking out. It was on its hind legs,its front paws hanging in the air,as though it wanted to play. It had short stubby wings. It also had soft purple skin. Darkocean looked at her tail, it split up into two tails, her horns did the same.

Darkocean blinked then smiled,"Horizon! " she screamed and hugged the creature. The creature was a Kolgon.

These creatures were rare and endangered, most dragons used these Kolgons as slaves. Some used them as pets.

"Olipy!" Horizon chirped happily, Darkocean laughed, Olipy meant Ocean in Kolgon.

Horizon looked confused, then she nodded,"Oh...do you know what that means?" Horizon asked, her voice was soft and squeaky.

Darkocean nodded,"Yes,Horizon.. " she smiled,in Kolgon years, Horizon was twenty four,which was very young for a Kolgon, she was about barley a year old in dragon years.

Horizon was barley half the size of Darkocean. Darkocean heard a Kolgon can be twice the size of a full grown dragon.

Horizon nodded.

Darkocean hugged Horizon, "I thought Shade had found you!" Darkocean said happily. Horizon laughed,"I think your father forgot I  turn invisible! " she squeaked.

Horizon didnt know much of how to speak other than her language, so she wasn't the best at Darkocean's language.

Darkocean laughed, "Yeah...we had a fight..." She told Horizon.

Horizon blinked,"About what?" She squeaked, Ocean sighed,"He told me to move out again..."

Horizon frowned, "Shade is bad father!" She chirped angrily.

Darkocean smiled,"You don't need to stand up for me.." She said patting Horizon's head. Her pitch black mane was soft and fluffy.

Horizon smiled,"Okay!"

Ocean and Horizon froze when they heard rustling in the bushes,"Who is there?!" Darkocean asked. Horizon squeaked and ran behind Darkocean as protection.

"I scared.." Horizon chirped quietly.

Darkocean whispered,"Well...when they come out,run. We can't let anyone else no about you!." Horizon nodded.

Darkocean growled, and waited for someone... Or something.. To come out.
