Isaac when he has a nightmare
... It had been a particularly great dream when you felt someone shaking you. Groaning, you awoke from your dream and into reality, the shaking not subsiding.
"Y/N, please wake up." Isaac spoke, his voice breaking. The sound of his voice made you turn to him quickly.
The sight of his tear-stained face made you want to cry yourself.
"Baby, what's wrong?" You asked, wiping away a tear.
"I-I had a nightmare. You di-" He cut himself off, fresh tears forming in his eyes.
"Hey, shh. You don't have to tell me. Come here." You opened your arms and he gladly nuzzled into your shoulder, tears staining your night shirt.
"It's going to be okay. I'm here, I'm alive, and I'm safe."
He took a few minutes to calm down, tears falling less and less frequently until they were gone. Isaac, almost asleep.
"I love you," he whispered, hugging you tighter.
You kissed his forehead, stroking his hair, and just trying to get your love to a happy sleep.
