~~~~~ Sorry for the short chapter, I didn't get to type up as much as I wanted to. My new job is kicking my butt~~~~
"I'll show you claws, bitch!" She rips away from Ladon and launches herself at me. "Who are you to come into my house and insult me?" She slaps me across the face, her nails ripping my flesh. My hair gets pulled, and I think she bites my arm. Who the hell taught this chick how to fight? After letting her get a few hits in, I shove her away and with a couple well-practiced moves, have her face-down on the floor. I sit on her back to keep her down. I may be small, but she's smaller.
"You fight like a girl."
"I'm an heiress, Halfbreed, I'm not supposed to fight."
"Then why the hell would you attack me?"
She makes a noise, something a tiger makes. A chuff? "Take a look at Ladon, sweetness. You'll be getting fired anytime now."
I turn my head so that I can see Ladon. He's shaking with Rage, his eyes glowing crimson.
"Ladon..."
He stalks over and pulls me off of Zerah. Instead of throwing me aside, like I expect, he pull me close and wraps his arms around me.
"You are so fucking stupid, Angel! She could have killed you!" He pulls away enough to look me over. "She did hurt you!" I frown as Zerah shrieks in rage. I push him away.
"What the hell are you doing!?" I demand, putting distance between us. "Go comfort your wife!"
He blinks, then looks at Zerah. "Zerah! What happened? Why are you on the floor?"
Zerah starts crying, as he helps her up. "Your floozy over there attacked me!"
What? Surely he remembers seeing her attack me? It happened not even 5 minutes ago! His gaze moves to me. I gulp.
"How dare you attack my wife!" He roars, stomping towards me. He goes to grab my arm, but I shrink away.
"You just saw her attack me, Ladon."
"My wife wouldn't hurt a fly."
I close my eyes, waiting for him to hit me. I don't understand what's happening, but he looks like he's pissed. Ladon is absolutely terrifying when angry. I feel his hand on my shoulder. After a few seconds, I open my eyes. Ladon is looking over his shoulder at Zerah in confusion.
"What the hell?" He removes his hand, then touches my shoulder, then removes it. After doing that a few times, he takes my hand. "So that's how you did it." He looks at me.
"Your face is covered in blood, Angel."
I lift a shaky hand and attempt to wipe at it. "How she did what, Ladon?"
"Convinced me to marry her. It's a love spell."
I blink at him, completely lost. He turns to Zerah.
"We need to talk." She looks like she's about to bolt.
"Dammit, Ladon. I told you not to bring other women here." She says, trying to save herself.
"We're getting divorced. As soon as possible." He grabs her arm and starts walking around the limo and to the door Zerah originally came from. He's dragging me with him, and since I'm lost as to what's happening, I just go with him. Heading down the hallway, he stops by a door, opens it, then throws the trembling woman in. He lays his hand on the door. There's a flicker of red and he continues walking. I can hear Zerah banging on the door, but it won't open. I follow Ladon.
