i look around trying to find noah. he usually walks with me to school but he wasn't outside of my house this moring. which is understandable; when we were playing video games he didn't really talk, or get mad when i killed him like he usually does.

and i know its about this millie thing. and i know it wrong to be taking pictures of her, without her consent. you know the saying 'a picture is worth a thousand words'? that's true, i can tell how she's feeling, what she's thinking, things that i can't tell when she's actually speaking. but with one photo taken at the right time, i can.

that's why i keep those pictures, it used to just be a little thing but it has turned into something i do daily. i'm not a creep.

-

"noah," i called out, "hey, why weren't you at my house this morning? i was waiting."

noah shrugged, "stuff. i guess."

"you guess?" i asked, "what's wrong noah? what did i do?"

"finn," noah started, "do you need me to elucidate this for you?" noah ask, "because you should know this!"

"you take pictures of a girl, in her bedroom, and she doesn't even know it." noah said. "w-well when you put it like that it sounds creepy." i say.

"sounds creepy? finn, it is creepy," he said, "you're creepy!" his voice rose.
"i am not creepy!" i yelled.

noah just simply stared at me, like i was supposed to say something else. but what else could i say? "i-i threw them away." i lied.

"really?" noah asked, in which i nodded to, "and you're not gonna keep doing it?" noah asked.

i silently gulped, "no." again, i lied. "ok." he said.

"so..." finn trailed off, "are you gonna help me out with her still?"

noah sighed and started to walk away. "noah," he grabbed his arm turning him around, "please. please help me, i need you." i implore.

noah rolled his eyes, "fine." i smiled widely, "thank you, noah! you're the best," i said, then i started to run.

"where are you going?" noah yelled, loud enough for him to hear. "class!" i yelled back as i never stopped running.

-

"so millie, who do you have your eye on?" sadie asked. millie furrowed her eyebrows, "what? no one. i haven't really been talking to anyone, except you, of course." millie spoke, "but not any guys, i guess. but all the guys that are attracted to me are dicks." she added.

"ok well, how is it sitting in the back of the classroom?" sadie asked, "i mean, you can literally do anything back there. it's like you're invisible when you're back there."

millie scoffed, "ghee thanks, sadie." millie said. sadie rolled her eyes, "i mean like, it's easier to get away with things." sadie said. and she wasn't wrong, it was. usually the "bad kids" were in the back, but no one knew they were up to no good; well, the teachers at least. but i–nor millie–were bad kids, we were just kids, who would sometimes do bad things.

"well, theres this guy back there. he's pretty cool–" sadie cut millie off, "hm, i thought you said you didn't talk to any guys." she stated.

millie sighed, "well, i-i talk to him." she said, "anyway! his name is finn, and he's–" sadie, again, cut millie off, "cute? hot? funny?" she guessed.

"sadie, wh–no, okay? he's like adorable." millie said, "so do you want to get with him?" sadie asked.

millie sighed, "i don't–i don't even know him that well, yet."

-

"ask her out!" noah said. "no, noah, what the fuck are you crazy?!" i yelled.

"why is that crazy?" he asked. "i- i barely even started to actually talk to her i can't just go up to her and ask her out," i say.

"why not?" noah asked. "because if she says no, the little ounce of confidence i still have in me will all go away."

noah rolled his eyes, "oh shut up, finn." noah started, "your confidence is not gonna go away because one girl doesn't say yes to go on a date with you."

"huh, well i don't know maybe it will if it was for a girl i loved for half of my life but–" noah cut finn off, "half of your life? 3 years finn, shut up."

"ok whatever, i'm not asking her out." finn said.

noah sighed. "well, then. just compliment her, tell her she looks pretty."

-

i walk into class, my hands are sweaty and I'm fiddling with my fingers.

i see millie sitting down at her desk, grabbing books out of her back pack.

i walk up to my desk, that is right next to hers.
"uh, millie?" i say. she looks up and smiles. "you uh look nic–pretty, pretty yeah. uh you look pretty." i nervously smile and sit down.

she smiles, "you think so?" she asked. i nod. "thanks, finn. you look pretty too." she chuckled and went back to taking out her books.

i smile, like a crazy person but then i turn away and also start getting my books out.
