Chapter 12

"You can't trust just anybody." -jazzy

Sequoyah's pov

It's been a week since that whole incident and Mya and Akeelah haven't been talking to jazzy and I. I don't have no beef with akeelah but you know mya is her cousin so yeah! They still hang around us but they just act like we are invisible. We were all sitting down at the blue benches. No boys just us! Then carlito and his fine self walked passed us. He was either Latino  or white but by his name I'm guessing Latino but he has blond hair so you can't really tell.

"Hi carlito." jazzy said blushing hard. He looked her way.

"Hi umm what's your name?" He said.

"Her name is JAZZY." Shay said. Jazzy looked mad. Carlito just walked away.

"Jazzy like them light boys." Princess said. We all laughed. Except for mya and Akeelah.

"Ayy carlito jazzy likes you." Akeelah said hella loud towards everyone heard. Carlito turned around. Mya laughed and JAZZY was in a fighting mood. Princess and shay just sat there and watched.

"Don't look at me like you bout to do something I will strangle yo ass." Akeelah stood up. Mya stood up too. Soo jazzy stood up and I did too.

"Shut yo wanna be Asian ass up. I can't believe Khalib even like yo fake, highly disrespectful self." Jazzy said.

"Bitch at least Khalib no my name carlito don't even no yo name but I bet he knows everybody else name." She said rolling her eyes. Jazzy swung but she didn't swing her fist she swung her hand and slapped Akeelah. Akeelah slapped her right Back. Shay broke it up with the help of princess.

"What bitch what." Akeelah said. I mugged them hard.

"I will hurt you again sequoyah so you betta watch them eyes." Mya said.

"Whatever." I said.

"You lucky shay holding me back bitch I will kill you." Jazzy said. Just then principal Lard came up towards us. it's been so many fights and now he wants to come near us.

"Jazzy go to my office NOW" He said.

"Why? I didn't do nothing." She said.

"You threaten a student." He said.

"But Sh-"

"GO TO MY OFFICE NOW" she ran to the office.

Jazzy's pov

I ran to the office mad as hell. He probably gonna call my mom. I mean she's gonna answer and come here. I sat in a chair waiting for the consequences. Jelani came in the office. I ran in the office and gave him a hug and cried.

"Shay told me what happened." He said. "We need to figure out a way to hide you from jewels." He said reffering to my mom. Just as he said that my mom was right there in front of the door with a big smile on her face.

"Oh my gosh hi baby come say hi to yo mom. I haven't seen you in years." She said. She know darn well she don't like me that much. Jelani looked at her in a ugly way. "Its a shame my own son has hate for me."

"Why are you here" Jelani said.

“BECAUSE I'M YO MOTHER SO WATCH YO SELF OK CUZ I WILL STILL CUT YOU CAME OUT OF MY P- " She stopped when she saw principal lard. “Oh hi Curtis" She said in a flirtatious way.

“Hi jewels" he said kissing her palm. Yuck! “Well your daughter threatened a student and we can't have that at this school...so we are going to suspend her for a week." My mom looked pissed but I don't care.

“Well is there anything I can do so you won't have to suspend her." She said winking. He thought than smiled.

“Actually yeah come in my office and we can talk about it" He said. They walked in the office. Ewwwwww! Fifteen minutes later they came out smiling than principal lard walked out.

"Ok I'm not gonna yelled or anything but you need to come live with me because I can't have my daughter living on the streets" she said.

"Can I be living on the streets first?" I said with hella attitude.

"My sister ain't staying with you bruh....you got her nd me fucked up all the way." Jelani said. We both ran out of that office running to Jelani's car.

"COME BACK NOW FOR I EMBARRASS Y'ALL." She screamed. We drove off.

Shay's pov

After that fight went down at school I told Jelani and went straight home. I think jelani is mad at me because I didn't tell my mom we're together but he doesn't understand my mom. He doesn't hardly talk to me unless we are at school and he haven't gave me a kiss since valentines.

"Hi daddy." I said giving my dad a hug. He looked at me like he knew something was up.

"Waguan." He said looking worried.(A/n: waguan means what's going on in jamaican language)

"You know how I feel bout Jelani...." I said sitting on the floor.

"Yeah mon." He said.

"Well mama don't no yet?" He looked at me disappointed.

"Let me go tell er mi self." He said. I got up and said thank you and ran to my room and started texting jelani.

Thirty minutes later He didn't answer and I was getting worried so I put on my addidas and walked out of the house and was heading to Jelani's place. Soon when I got there I saw his car in the drive way so I was like.... this boy is ignoring me? I knocked on the door. Jazzy opened it.

"Hi bestfriend." Jazzy said. She looked happy.

"Hi gurrlll why u look so happy?" I said walking in the house sitting down on the couch.

"I DON'T HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL CUZ I PUT THE HUG AND THUG." She said jumping up like a little girl. I laughed. Dynasty ran out with her diaper on again.

"Mommy shayyyy." She screamed jumping on my lap.

"oh so that's my nickname." I tickled her. she started screaming and laughing so hard that jelani came out looking mad then soften his face when he saw me.

"Ayy can I holla at u real quick." He said looking at me with with an attitude.

"Hi to you too" I mumbled. Jazzy started laughing.

"My brother is a bitch sometimes." I walked in his room to see him on the bed.

"Look my pops is gonna tell my mom...She probably gon kick me out of the house....you lucky I love you."  I covered my mouth. did I just say that aloud? Jelani looked at me and smiled. He stood right next to me and looked me in the eyes.

"What did you say?" he said. I sat on his bed.

"You heard me?" I smiled.

"You can live with us if yo moms kicks you out...ight?...and I lu u too." I smiled.

"Wow I remember love having a v...you think u a thug talkin bout I lu u. like no boo." He Laughed and threw w pillow at me I threw it back. Then he fell on top of me and started kissing me.

"You ready"

"yeah"
