Chapter 5

I didn't go to school or talk to anybody for a week after that accident. Jaheem is better he's been cooking for us and cleaning but he still won't say how he ended up at auntie jewels house. Today I had to go to school my brother said I should. So I woke up turned on my phone to see a lot of messages than I went in the bathroom and did my hygiene routine,Put on a curly wig and my makeup,and put on a silver sweat shirt that said 'love me not my skin' and some silver leggings. My shoes were pink and silver leather boots.

I walked to school alone and by myself. The first people I saw were Akeelah,Shay,mya,and Princess.

"your hella fake." Akeelah said.

"Just leave her alone you don't no what happened." Shay said.

"Well hi girlll." mya said.

"Wassup." Princess yelled.

"Hi, so wassup wit y'all?" I said.

"I got a boyfriend." Shay said.

"Who jelani?"

"Nooo I go out with Boss." Omg she's going out with Boss! He's ok I guess. He's not bad looking he's in the basketball team and  he is the co captain. " he asked me out and I said yeah"

"Do you like him?"

"yea"

"Do you like jelani."

".......no"

"why?"

"He doesn't want me so why try if it's never gonna happen."

"Did you talk to jelani?"

"no he doesn't talk to me he just stares."

"Ask another question and imma go off." Princess said. We laughed.

"Jelani talks to me thou but he says hi and bye." mya said.

"Who cares let's not talk about him I'm focused on Boss." Shay said. Khalib, Jelani,and Boss walked over.

"Hi babe." Boss said giving shay a hug.

"Hi" she said tryna give him a kiss but he stopped her. Khalib and Akeelah looked more like a couple. They were kissing and whispering and stuff.

"Hi cousin." Jelani said sounding real jeoulous.

"Hi" I gave him a hug and said in a whisper" jealousy doesn't look good on you." he ignored me.

"What are you wearing?" Boss said to Shay. Shay looked cute in her blue t-shirt with her Blue jeans and her black 23s. Her braids were down and she had on some black hoop earrings.

"I'm wearing clothes."

"Why Is your stomach not showing when we weren't going out your stomach was always showing."

"I don't know."

"Well make sure it shows tommorow."

"ok bye"

"y u pushing me away"

"you acting like your the boss of me but your not soo." Jelani looked mad.

"Stop talking to her like dat bruh." Jelani said.

"Mind your own business." Boss said. Jelani looked like he was ready to fight.

"No you need to mine yo own business and stop talking to her like she is your business."

"Man square up then"

"Come on I ain't scared yo bitch ass."

Of course akeelah was recording, Khalib was recording,Princess was laughing. mya was watching,and me and shay were holding them back.
