I said with an attitude. " Come watch khari " Thats my sisters son. I know for a fact that im not doing that.
"I got to go to school, I don't have time" I yelled throwing a pillow at her. She know I don't like being interrupted when I'm asleep. Hi my name is Sequoyah but some people call me sicky. I live with my sister Genesis she's 22, My Nephew khari he's 7,my little sister Imani she's 13, and my Brother Jaheem he's 26. My mom lives with us but she's in and out of the house like my brother.
"Get your oreo looking self over here" Genesis yelled. I don't like when people say that too me. I'm the type of the girl that has light skin with long silky hair but that's not what I wanna be. I look like I'm mixed and I'm really not. I wanna be dark with kinky hair. but I guess everybody don't get with they want. I slapped my sister in her face.
"What is wrong with you" Genesis screamed. She punched me in my stomach and pulled my hair. I started laughing and then she stopped.
"you so immature go watch yo own damn child." I said. I got out of my room and went in the shower to do my hygiene routine and I wrapped a towel around me and went in my room to get dress. I put on a red plain shirt with some white pants and some red white and black sandals. I brushed my hair and put a curly wig over it. I placed my pink lip stick on,put black eye liner on,and placed some Brown blush to make me look darker just than my phone rung. I answered it without looking at the phone.
"Hi?" I walked out of the door and headed for school.
"Do you not no who this is?" the person yelled.
"Oh hi Shay, where u at?" I said glad to hear from my bestfriend.
"Look behind you"she said. I looked behind me and saw my two best friends Akeelah and Shay. Shay been my best friend since kindergarten. we tell eachother everything. Shay has milk chocolate skin and a nice body that boys die for. She has long cornrolls that are real with a pink bandanna over it and some big silver hoop earrings. She has on a pink and white half shirt on that looks like a disheki(an African shirt) ,with some white jeggings on,and some pink timberlands. Shay doesn't need makeup because she looks like she has makeup but nobody knows.
"wassup Sequoyah" Akeelah said. Akeelah is Asian and black. She has been my best friend since middle school. She has long jet black hair like me but even silkier. She's wearing a black crop top with the words hater on it some white ripped jeans with black and white jordans.
"Hi girls" I said. "How's your love life "I said referring to Khalib akeelah's man" Out of all of us Akeelah has a man. Don't get me wrong I can get a man I got boys calling my phone a lot but I want a boy who loves me for me not because I'm light with silky hair. Shay got friend 's with benefits but she only had her eyes on one boy since we were little. My Cousin. Jelani. Jelani is 6'2 with milk chocolate skin.If I were Her I wouldn't go out with him he's a man whore. He has a lot of girls. he's the biggest player in New York.
"My love is fine, we need to be talking bout that Puerto Rican girl all up on Jelani." She said looking at shay. Who looks mad as hell. We all walked down the street close towards them. The Puerto Rican girl looked up at me.
" Hola como estas" she said looking at me. this trick thinks I'm Mexican?
"I speak English" I said.
"Oh you don't like your culture." She said. I looked down at her and rolled my eyes. She was about 5'6 with medium sized hair with a blue beanie on top. She had on a blue shirt on with some black skinnies and some black jordans.
"Oh I love being black" I said. Shay sized her up and down.
"What about yo Mexican side" she said. When she said that I had to breathe.
"Girl my friend here is black so you need to go back to where u belong and get off of Jelani cuz he don't want you." Akeelah said. Shay gave Jelani a big hug and his hands were on her waist. I know he got feelings for her. She was smiling like the sun.
"I didn't mean to start anything I'm new here and I was just asking Jelani to show me around here. You know I need direction to south wood high." She said.
"Well ummmm South wood high is right around the corner." Jelani said licking his lips. I slapped him.
"owwwwwww" He yelled.
"I don't like her" akeelah said in a loud whisper.
"What's yo name." Jelani said with his arms wrapped around shay.
"Taylor" We all started laughing.
"What's so funny?" Taylor looked confused.
"Let me tell you something," Shay moved away from Jelani and got all up in Taylor's face."My name is Shay,this is Akeelah,and Sequoyah. we really don't like certain people so please don't get on our nerves. cause it's already starting to happen. We all were laughing because we never heard of a Puerto Rican girl named Taylor." Shay moved away digged in her pocket and put a lollipop in her mouth.
"Well umm I come from an African decent so umm yea bye" Taylor walked away fast.
"Wassup wit her cousin." I said.
" What u mean." Jelani smiled.
"Nothing,never mind."I said rolling my eyes.
We all walked to school together and when we got there we saw Khalib.
"Wassup baby." Khalib said kissing Akeelah on her lips.
"Hi" she blushed.
"Hi ladies." He said to us. Khalib is 5'11. He has a lot of muscles I guess basketball paid off. he is the captain of the boys basketball team.
"Hi" me and shay say at the same time. Khalib and Jelani give each other a boy hand shake. Just then Jelanis phone rings.
"Hello......Oh wassup lil mama.......did you find the school." as soon as he said that we New who it was. "Yea.........aww that's fine..........ok peace" We all looked at him.
"ok I got to go, I don't wanna miss first period." Shay said.
"I'll walk you to class." Jelani offered.
" nah it's ok" She walked away. I need to talk to shay so maybe I can stay at her house tonight.
"ok" He looked at shay walk away.
"So blind." Akeelah said. I laughed and pushed her. I got my phone out nd started texting shay.
Me: he was looking at u when u walked away.
Shay: who cares he likes light girls.
Me: that is not true. My Cousin dated more dark girls than light
Shay: He gets on my nerves.
Me: you and I both...anyways can I spend the night to night
Shay: yea.....I gotta ask my mom thou cuz u no my brother always stressing her out. so she might say no.
Me: ok well gtg see u at lunch lil jelani....lol
Shay: stfu lol bye see u then
