"You look fine to me!"

"I don't know what your problem is, you're too old to be jealous!"

"What is there to be jealous of!?"

"The fact that I moved and found new friends!"

"Girl what? I could care less about you or your friends!"

"If you didn't care so much we wouldn't be having the conversation!"

Bahja and I sat on the couch, me in her lap, watching Lourdes and Lauren go back and forth with each other. I was having a nice time alone with my baby when they decided to come in and argue. Of course they want us to help, but they can't seem to stop talking.

"Are you gonna stop this?" She sighed while whispering to me.

"No. This is all you."

"No it's all you. I stopped Lourdes and Kyla from arguing that last time... Plus I know nothing about this friendship thing."

I rolled my eyes, "okay guys!" I yelled over them.

They still wouldn't stop arguing. At this moment, they were yelling over each other.

"Lauren...."

"Lourdes..."

I was trying to stay calm, in order to be a mediator it's important that I don't blow up on them.

"Lauren and Lourdes!!"

"What!?" They turned to me.

"Shut up!"

"Ha!" Bahja started laughing, "that's the best you can do? "Shut up"?" She laughed harder.

"It's funny?" I looked back at her.

"No ma'am." She straightened up.

"Like I thought." I turned back to Lourdes and Lauren, who were both shaking in anger.

Okay... One at a time, tell me what's going on."

Lourdes sat on the opposite couch and Lauren sat in the chair in front of us. "Okay so I feel like she's jealous." Lauren started, "every since I came here and made friends with Taylor and Jasmine she's been up my ass for no reason... I don't understand why. She's grown, I'm 14. It's time I hang with girls my age."

"It's not about you hanging with them. I could care less, like I said. I feel like you just starting with me for no reason."

It looked like Lauren's face and shoulders dropped. She slowly turned her head to Lourdes, "no reason Lo? You're like... I don't even know. You're like a sister to me, I don't understand why you even wanna fight."

"Who said I wanted to fight Lauren? I couldn't help but argue with you because you were throwing accusations left and right."

"Wait." I interrupted, "so this whole thing... I feel, is about Lauren thinking that Lourdes is jealous of her new friends... And Lourdes being mad because Lauren assumes she's mad about her making new friends? Correct?"

They both shrugged, "I guess."

"Apologize and hug." I sighed.

"But wait... Lourdes told me she wasn't fucking with Lauren no more because Lauren was being shady. And Lauren told me she wasn't fucking with Lourdes because she was being shady."

I hit Bahja upside her head, "ouch... What--"

"I'm being shady!? You can't be serious! Your ass can't say a damn thing about anybody being shady!" Lourdes stated.
