"I need advice." Lauren sat next to me on the couch.

I peered over at her from my magazine before looking back down at it, "what now?"

"You say that like you're bothered with me."

"I'm not, it's just for a 15 year old girl you have a lot of drama in your life."

"True, but anyways..." She sighed, "I reallyyyy miss Lourdes, but I'm not gonna hit her up because I keep letting my pride get in the way of that."

"Why?"

"I don't know, maybe because I get tired of always hitting her up first, especially when something goes wrong between us."

I put my magazine down, "funny because Lourdes came to me and told me that whenever you two get into it, you're always the one that makes it seem like y'all can never be friends again. Which I know is true, because you get like that sometimes. You never wanna keep a conversation going or actually talk about something."

"I ALWAYS talk about something. That's her, when we get into it she think we can just automatically jump into the next conversation and be bestfriends."

"Because she can do that, and so can you. Despite the age difference, y'all are bestfriends. If it's real, it doesn't matter how long y'all go without talking to each other, as long as you can bounce back from it and act like it never happened... While at the same time learning from what happened."

"So should I text her or not?"

"Yeah you should." I started reading again.

"I'm not finished." She grabbed the magazine from me.

"Girl." I snatched it back, "leave me alone and go call Lourdes."

"Wait that was friendship advice, I need relationship advice."

"For what? You aren't dating anyone."

"I'm dating Jeremy."

"Oh yeah, Mr. Take Your Innocence."

"Don't call him that." She rolled her eyes.

"What happened between you two?"

"I don't know, we're not the same."

"Elaborate."

"Like after I gave it up to him, he didn't seem the same. He's been ignoring my calls, texts, been hanging back out with the guys more, not paying me any attention, etc..."

"Have you asked him what was up?"

"He said it was nothing."

"Well then maybe it's nothing, or maybe something's up with his family." I shrugged.

"But Taylor is perfectly fine."

"You don't know that. People tend to deal with things in different ways. She may be hiding her pain."

"But I'm her bestfriend and she knows she could tell me."

"Just like you're Lourdes's bestfriend and you know you can tell her how you feel, yet you choose to be stubborn?"

"Why do you have to bring her up? We're talking about Jeremy."

"You're right." I rolled my eyes.

"I'm right and?? What else?"

I irritatedly looked over at her, "and talk to him."

"You love to talk don't you? I'm tired of talking things out with people. I'm tired of being the first person to talk to someone. I'm tired of no one thinking about how I feel in any given situation. I'm tired of putting my all into friendships and relationships only to get 0% of it back. And most of all, I'm tired of caring. I care too much about everybody and everything. It's beyond frustrating and I hate that I have such a good heart."
