Dear Zonnique,

         You remember awhile back when you decided to move to L.A and you had wrote me a letter explaining your love and how you were sorry we couldn't be together? Well now I'm doing the same thing. I'm moving back to Atlanta Zo. I️ know this is unexpected, and I know we've had many complications within the past couple years, it's been hell for the both of us. Sometimes I wonder why I even had to bother you, it seems like you were doing much better when I wasn't in the picture... But whatever. Despite everything that happened and even with us not being together anymore, you know my love remains strong regardless. Now it's my turn to apologize for pushing you away and hurting you. You didn't deserve anything I put you through and I didn't deserve you. You're a sweetheart Zonnique and you're special to everyone you've ever came across. The difference between your letter and mine is that, you won't be able to say goodbye because I'm already gone. I slipped this in your mailbox with your other mail before I left. I'll be back to visit as often as I can, and hopefully you'll come visit too? By the way, I've recently spoken on the phone with Josh and your other friend Daniel. Apparently they date, I don't know. They told me to tell you hello and that it wouldn't hurt to pick up the phone and call them. But I don't wanna keep you wondering or reading, so I'll see you when I see you. But either way it goes, just know that you will always have my heart. I love you Zonnique Jailee... Forever and a day.

I put the letter down on the couch beside me. "Wow." I whispered to myself.

I wasn't sure if I should be mad that she didn't tell me sooner, or happy that she's finally decided to move on and do what's best for her. Either way, I was still upset that she left. I picked up my phone and decided to text her.

To Bahja: Hey B💕Sad to hear that you've gone back to ATL. I'm gonna miss you a lot! Wishing you the best with your career🤞🏾Keep me updated on everything and stay safe !!

I sent that text to her and exited out of my messages, going to Instagram. I opened up the app and decided to upload a picture of Josh, Daniel, and me. After having that talk with Lauren, I realized that I had changed a lot... I hadn't even acknowledged the fact that my best friends were probably worrying sick that I hadn't hit them up all this time.

I had received a text back from Bahja and I clicked on her message and read it.

From Bahja: I was gonna tell you sooner, I️ just didn't know how. I'll miss you more❤️you be safe too.

I wasn't sure what to say to that so I just left her on read. I shrugged and put my phone down as Lauren came into the room.

"Okay, so I'm not sure if this new school lets us wear color. I read online that most boarding schools wear uniforms and have strict rules, but Z I NEED my headbands. I have every color and—."
