Chapter 8

Rose’s Point of View

I woke up in the hospital and my head was pounding it felt like someone was playing a drum in my ear “ahh make it stop” I screeched in pain “it’s ok sweetheart you just need some rest” the nurse told me “Soph and Annie, are they ok?”, “Annabelle is not in a stable condition and Soph has serious bleeding to her brain and is in a coma, now please lie down, rest and stay in your room” she said.  I grabbed my phone and called Niall, it was 3am in the morning he answered with a deep “Rose what’s wrong I’m trying to catch up on my beauty rest?” “Niall...” I began to cry “Babe what’s wrong, where are you, what’s all the noise in the background?” he answered back “I’m at St Alfred Hospital, we were involved in a car accident, I am ok I just have stitches and minor bruising, whereas” I sniffled and couldn’t even finish the sentence “Soph is in a coma and Annie might not make it” “CAR ACCIDENT!!?” Niall screamed “I’m waking up the boys now were on our way I will be there soon gorgeous I promise” he said I could hear the seriousness in his voice “please hurry” I said before hanging up the phone. I got up out of the bed and walked over to Annie, I pulled up a chair and buried my head into the sheets on her bed, held her hand and began to cry

Niall’s Point of View:

I just couldn’t believe what I had just heard, I ran around the house like a mad man banging on the boys doors shouting “GUYS GET DOWN TO THE KITCHEN NOW IT’S ROSE AND SOPH QUICK GET OUT OF BED NOW!!!” The boys quickly stumbled out of bed rushing down to the kitchen, Zayn looked really worried, “were going to St Alfred Hospital , I just called the driver, Soph, Rose and Annie were in a car accident about 12am this morning” “WHAT!!!!” Zayn screamed, “are they ok, Soph, Soph is she alright?!!” I sat Zayn down on one of the kitchen stools and said “Mate she’s in a coma, she’s not doing too well, she needs you right now”. The boys all looked shocked they all so worried about the girls. About 10 minutes later the car pulled up in the car of the hospital, we ran through the doors stopping at the front desk asking for directions the nurse told us to go straight and it would lead us to the emergency department. It was then when I saw a doctor I asked him where Soph Phelps, Annie and Rose Williams were “adjoining rooms 3A and B” “cheers mate”. I threw the door wide open Rose was on a chair with her head buried on Annie’s hospital bed she was holding her hand repeating “please Annie don’t leave me, you’re the only family that I have left” hearing this made my heart shatter into a million tiny pieces. “Rose?” she turned around and saw me she fell into my arms, she cried and cried I couldn’t stand seeing the women I loved in a world so much pain it was killing me inside. Zayn had tears trying to escape down his cheeks when he saw Soph, I could tell he was hurting, but he was trying not to show it.

Louis and Zayn stood on either side of Soph’s bed, “Mate I’m sorry if you felt that way about me and Soph but nothing’s going on, I love ya man your my brother and I wouldn’t never do anything to hurt ya” Louis whispered to Zayn “I know man, I guess I was paranoid, she is far too good for me bro” Zayn replied smiling. Harry, Liam and I sat with Rose, she was dying inside and I wanted to make the pain stop but there was nothing I could do for her, I felt powerless. She fell asleep in my arms I held her close, I sang to her softly. “Close the door, throw the key, don’t wanna be reminded, don’t wanna be seen, don’t wanna be without you my judgements clouded like tonight’s sky” it was moments, one of Rose’s favourite One Direction songs. We had all fallen asleep but we us boys were woken up by Zayn’s soft sobs, “Soph , Soph I love you I never meant to hurt you, if I hadn’t started fighting with you, this never would of happened, I will never forgive myself for this if something happens to you I don’t know what I will do to myself, I’ll always love you, you mean the world to me, I’d be lost without you” he said to her, he must of thought no one was listening but we all were Liam got up out of his seat and comforted Zayn, Liam was defiantly daddy direction tonight, that’s for sure.

I woke up at the crack of dawn and went to the vending machines to get some coffees for everyone, Louis came to help me “Zayn feels terrible I have never seen him like this Lou I’m really worried” “When Soph wakes up he will be better, he just feels really guilty because he hates seeing her like this” he told me in a reassuring voice.

4 days later…

Rose’s Point of View:

I hadn’t left the hospital since the accident, Niall stayed by my side and never left me alone, he was my rock and ways always there when I needed him the most I knew I had the best boyfriend in the world. I looked over at Soph her bright green emerald eyes were opening, I lept out of my chair almost landing on her “SOPH SOPH ITS ME ROSE, BABY GIRL ARE YOU OK?” I asked her while crying “Rosy, I love you so much I’m so sorry” “it’s fine Soph the main thing is that you’re ok”. At that moment Zayn burst through the door, “Soph thank god you’re ok” I walked up to him and whispered in his ear “I think you should just leave, she needs a bit of space right now, sorry Zayn” he stared at me, I saw a tear leave his eye, he turned his head, wiped the tear away and turned back to face Soph and I. “Just know that I have been outside this whole time, and I don’t plan on leaving anytime soon” he said as he left the room with his head down facing the floor. “Soph, he really cares about you, you know? He never left your side not once, except for just then when he was getting everybody a coffee.”
