NAMKOOK

Author pov
"Jungkook I'm home!" Namjoon yelled as he walked into their apartment. Roses in one hand, chocolates in the other, and a apology on his lips.

Namjoon stepped further into the house, confused at the lack of response. "Jungkookie!" Namjoon yelled again, a little frantic this time. Nothing but silence following his voice. "Oh god." Namjoon gasped before dropping the romantic clichés and sprinting towards the bathroom.

Namjoon burst into the cold bathroom and instantly fell to his knees. He found Jungkook, lying in the bathtub, cold and lifeless. "Jungkook!" Namjoon cried as he dragged the boys body out of the tub. He didn't even care about all the water soaking his clothes, he just cared about his boyfriend.

"Jungkook please wake up! I'm so sorry! I was drunk! I didn't mean it!" Namjoon sobbed as he cradled Jungkook's body in his arms. Namjoon pressed his lips against Jungkook's cold ones, because maybe, true loves kiss could wake him up.

Jungkook was wide eyed as he admired the cherry blossom trees, the baby pink petals decorating the floor and his hair. Jungkook did it, he finally made it, and he's never been more happy. "Jungkook ah." An angelic voice cooed. Jungkook turned around and gasped when he saw a man dressed in all white, the most beautiful man he's ever seen, with the most beautiful wings he's ever seen sprouting from his back. "W-who are you? Where am I?" Jungkook asked as he hesitantly approached the angel. The man smiled, his teeth white like pearls. "My name is Taehyung, I'm your guardian angel." Taehyung stated with a proud smile. "Well you didn't do a very good job at guarding me." Jungkook scoffed.

Taehyung shook his head at Jungkook's ignorance, letting the idiotic comment slid. "I'm not supposed to guard you, I'm supposed to guide you." Taehyung clarified, which didn't help Jungkook understand anything at all. "Who do you think sent Namjoon? Me!" Taehyung squeaked happily, mentally patting himself on the back. Jungkook frowned at the mention of his boyfriends name, he never did say goodbye. "You kinda fucked up my life with that one." Jungkook sighed, deciding to sit down on the soft petal covered ground. "You aren't a very good guardian angel." Jungkook whispered, tears already stabbing at his eyes.

Taehyung groaned before collapsing onto the ground, petals flying up around the two boys. "It's Namjoon's guardian angel that sucks." Taehyung sighed, "I can't guide Namjoon." Jungkook eyed the angel, suddenly feeling bad for insulting the beautiful being. "I guess." Jungkook mumbled before lying down next to the angel. "If you're supposed to guide me, how come you let me kill myself?" Jungkook asked, honestly very curious. Taehyung took a deep breath, choosing his words carefully.

"Because it was fate, you were supposed too. When Namjoon's guardian angel introduced him to Jin, your fate and Namjoon's was changed. In your fate, you were destined to kill yourself, and Namjoon was destined to suffer. But, Guardian angels can alter fate. We have three chances to alter fate, if we strongly feel that fate was wrong. That's what this place is for. It's where guardian angels take their humans before heaven or hell, so they can talk to them. We have to ask permission to change fate, because sometimes, humans want to keep their fates."

Jungkook was beyond shocked, Taehyung's words amazing him and terrifying him. Jungkook couldn't believe he was destined to die a pathetic death. How dissapointing.

"So you think my fate is wrong?" Jungkook asked as he ran his fingers through the petals. "Yup, very wrong." Taehyung stated. Jungkook was confused, he thought his fate was correct. He doesn't deserve to live. "Why do you think it's wrong?" Jungkook asked, a lump slowly forming in his throat. Taehyung sighed, "because I've been with you ever since you were born. I was your imaginary friend, but sadly once you reached a certain age I'm forced to watch you from a distance. I watched you grow up, I helped you discover your sexuality. I was there for your first kiss, your first broken bone, and your first heartbreak. You're a good kid Jungkook and I couldn't just sit back and let you suffer. Just because Namjoon's guardian angel was bored and wanted to spice things up. You deserve to live a long happy life, with Namjoon. But if you feel otherwise then tell me. Because it's your choice Jungkook."

Jungkook was having a hard time processing Taehyung's words. The thought of an angel watching him and silently guiding him was unbelievable. Jungkook was also torn, should he go back or stay? "If I stay, do you stop being my guardian angel?" Jungkook asked, suddenly hating the thought of Taehyung leaving him. Jungkook feels like he's known Taehyung for his entire life, well technically he has. "Sadly yes, but you'd become an angel as well, and you get a choice if you want to become a guardian angel." Taehyung explained, the whole situation suddenly becoming surreal.

Jungkook nodded in somewhat understanding, Taehyung's words suddenly overwhelming him. "Hey, you have plenty of time to think about this." Taehyung reassured as he sat up. Jungkook sat up as well, confusion written all over his face. "Time doesn't exist here." Taehyung clarified, following it with a comforting smile. Jungkook nodded, this entire situation feeling like a drug induced dream.

Jungkook stared at the petals on the ground, each one a beautiful baby pink. Namjoon wanted to dye his hair pink. Jungkook frowned as his brain and heart argued with each other.

His heart wanted to go back to Namjoon and end his suffering. Because Namjoon doesn't deserve that. But Jungkook's brain reminded him that Namjoon cheated on him, and would probably do it again.

"I don't know what to do Taehyung!" Jungkook yelled, shocked as some of the petals were blown into the air. Taehyung laughed, his voice calm and soothing, almost nostalgic. "Do you want to know something? I'm not supposed to do this, but I don't really give a shit." Taehyung giggled, motioning for Jungkook to move closer. Jungkook hurriedly scooted closer, eager for the angels secrets.

"When you killed yourself, you also altered Namjoon's fate. He's destined to kill himself in three days. The guilt finally gets to him and he jumps off a building." Taehyung confessed, leaving Jungkook speechless. Jungkook felt tears prick at his eyes but instead of blinking them back he let them flow. Taehyung frowned as he watched Jungkook cry, the youngers thoughts waring inside his head. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have told you." Taehyung apologized as he rubbed comforting circles in Jungkook's back.

Jungkook was beyond conflicted. He's happy here, he's happy with Taehyung, but he was also happy with Namjoon. He loved Namjoon, but will he take a chance and trust him again? "Is there any chance you could break the rules again and tell me my fate if I go back?" Jungkook asked curiously. Taehyung laughed, "no, I can't see anything, it's all blurry."

Jungkook frowned, should he take a chance? If it fails he gets to come back to Taehyung and if it works out Jungkook gets to be happy with Namjoon.

"I've made my decision."

"What is it?"

Namjoon was sobbing as he rested his forehead against Jungkook's. Regret, guilt, and sadness the only emotions he had left. "I'm so sorry kookie." Namjoon whispered against his boyfriends cold skin. "It's o-okay." A small voice squeaked. Namjoon pulled away from Jungkook and stared at his once dead boyfriend. "J-Jungkook?" Namjoon stuttered in pure shock.

Jungkook smiled weakly, his entire body felt numb and cold. "H-hi." Jungkook mumbled. Namjoon smiled through his tears before pulling Jungkook's body against his. "I love you so much! Please never leave me!" Namjoon sobbed as he caressed Jungkook's wet hair. Weakly Jungkook wrapped his arms around Namjoon's stomach. Jungkook sighed in content as Namjoon's warmth surrounded him. "I love you too." He whispered into Namjoon's shoulder. Jungkook opened his eyes and smiled when he saw Taehyung, leaning against the wall. Taehyung gave Jungkook a thumbs up and a smile before slowly vanishing into thin air.

"See! I told you he'd go back!" Taehyung bragged to the smaller male standing next to him. The smaller male looked up at Taehyung and glared. "It's not fair, you broke the rules." He grumbled. Taehyung smiled, "whatever Yoongi hyung, you're just not a very good guardian angel." He teased. Yoongi scoffed, "Namjoon's a fucking tool, that's why."

Taehyung laughed at Yoongi's rude remark about Namjoon, before grabbing the olders hand and lacing their fingers together. "How about you take your frustration and use it as energy to fuck me?" Taehyung suggested with a smirk. Yoongi chuckled at the youngers weirdness but agreed nonetheless.
