Chapter 29

I rub my eyes, extend my arms out above my head, stretch my legs, pointing my toes as far as they'll go and let out an exhausted sigh. I wake up in my bed. 'Home.' I start to sit up when my head feels heavy. Gravity pulls my head back to the pillow. My hand quickly finds my forehead. There is a pain unlike another, like a spider digging and scratching it's way around my head. The spider runs against my frontal lobe, causing pain everywhere it's 8 legs step. The spider, of corse, a metaphor. Did I hit my head? Is it a concussion? A migraine? I feel the gurgling in my stomach, my throat has a lump in it, my mouth is dry. I run to the bathroom. I throw up several times....

Peeta reaches the bathroom door when I flush the vomit. He rubs my back, "Morning sickness ?" I shrug my shoulders, "I have no idea, my head hurts though." He creases his forehead. "We need to talk." He say. "Okay." "Gale..." He begins. "Where is he?" I interrupt. "He's gone." "What?" "When we got home, Haymitch went to open the trunk .. And .." He chokes on the words. "Peeta, what happened?" "Gale stabbed Haymitch." My heart sinks into my stomach. "But he's okay, he's with your mother. He refused to go to the hospital." "Is he okay?" "He will be." I take a few deep breathes before continuing. "Where is Gale now?" "We don't know." My head drops. "Can we see Haymitch?" He nods, "Ofcorse." He helps me up and we get ready. We head out the door to my mothers. Peeta walks out first, and stops with me running into him. I look up. "Gale." I whisper. "I'm back lover boy."
