"Alright so today class, we're going to take a break from reading and talk about what happened to that poor 16 year old girl." You shivered after Mr. Branson finished talking about the slashing that happened in your old town.

"Uhm, sorry I have to uh go piss. Yeah I have to piss." You said while getting up and running out of the classroom.
"Hello?" You heard the raspy voice of your old best friend.
"Emily what's wrong?"
"It's Riley," she choked out a sob "she's dead."
"Oh my god no." You whispered tears forming in your eyes. You hung up the phone and started to cry. Audrey came into the bathroom didn't say anything and just picked you up and walked you out of the building.
"She can't be dead." You whispered after the room fell silent.
"I know baby. I'm so sorry." Audrey whispered rubbing her palm on your back.
After the funeral and the long drive back to Lakewood Audrey was in the kitchen talking to your mom. You opened the door mascara running down your face and walked up to your room. You closed your door and walked onto your balcony. All you could do was scream, you screamed and screamed until you felt firm arms wrap around your body slowly bringing you onto the ground. You sobbed into Audrey's arms saying Riley's name over and over again until you and Audrey were sat looking up at the stars.
"She won't ever be my Maid of Honor, or the Godmother to my children." You whispered tears forming in your eyes.
"She won't ever be able to have a small child call her mommy, or to be called a wife, she wasn't able to live her life Audrey." You cried looking into her eyes.
"I know Y/N. I know and I am so sorry, she didn't deserve to die." Audrey said pulling you closer.
"I wish it was me and not her." You whispered.
"Don't say that Y/N."
"Audrey? Promise me you will never leave me?" You said looking up at her.
"I would never leave you beautiful, you're to precious to lose." Audrey smiled and leaned down to kiss you.
You really hope Audrey won't break that promise.
