Chris' pov

"Hey Ange? You know what's been up with Ricky lately? I haven't seen him for a few days and he hasn't called or texted." I said, walking up to his locker. Angelo just shook his head, closing his locker gently. "I haven't seen him or heard from him for a few days. Sorry Chris." I sighed, running a hand through my hair. "Alright. Well, thanks anyways. I'll go check up on him after school." The shorter boy nodded. "I hope everything's okay." I nodded. "Yeah, I do too."

Ryan walked up behind Angelo, wrapping an arm around his waist and pecking him on the cheek, making Angelo blush. I watched them, raising an eyebrow. "Since when are you two a thing?" Ryan shrugged. "About two weeks now." I rolled my eyes slightly. "I have to get to class. Have fun, guys. But not too much fun. And remember to wear protection!" Angelo and Ryan both turned a bright red, causing me to laugh before walking off to class.

I hope Ricky's okay. I really miss him.

**possible trigger warning**

Walking up to Ricky's front door, I took a deep breath. I didn't see a car in the driveway, meaning his parents were probably gone on a trip or something. They usually were.

I used the spare key Ricky had given me last year, unlocking the door carefully and walking inside, closing it behind me. I walked up to Ricky's room, seeing that his door was closed. I knocked on it gently. "Ricky?" After a few moments of silence, I opened it gently and walked inside.

I looked around his room, seeing a few empty pill bottles on his bed and an empty bottle of Jack Daniels on his floor. I walked further in, seeing Ricky. When I saw him, I nearly broke down sobbing.

I saw my best friend, the only person I truly love, my everything, hanging from a rope in his closet.

I wanted to save him. I wanted to help him. But I was too late, and he was already gone.
