Christian
There were perks to being a child of Janus, like easy transportation of yourself and others without having to march or use mixed transportation. However it also came with its downside with Janus also having two face for the past and future. It wasn't uncommon for his children to have two personalities. Christian wasn't one of the lucky ones. She had problems with anger issues when she had turned 14, she thought it was puberty hitting her late, sadly she was mistaken. Her normal calm and humorous personality would change to the harshness and uncensored personality of that of a drill sergeant. She'd awoken in her bed in the 3rd Cohort building feeling the Ice cold tips of her finger, her side effect from creating portals. She grumbled and looked around the room, there were suppose to be four demigods to a room but she was all alone. Her realization hit her to late as Tai came busting through her door wearing his weird Chinese armor. "What are you doing? Did you forget Reyna and Frank were giving out some ground rules for the next few weeks?" He asked as she got up and ran into the bathrooms to brush her teeth. "No my gods for saken roommates just didn't feel the need to wake me again! And why are you in the girls building anyway Tai!?" She yelled in between spitting out water. "Frank asked me to make sure you didn't oversleep from teleporting so much yesterday, anyway you got 10 minutes before Reyna starts things so hurry!" He yelled back as he slammed her door and rushed down to the pavilion. She quickly put on a fresh T-shirt and jeans and rushed down to the pavilion where everyone was eating their breakfast. She saw Reyna pull away from her conversation with Trystan and stare at her, not because she was late again but because she knew why. She stopped in front of her and Frank hunched over and trying to catch her breath. "Sorry if I kept up the announcements." She said between her breaths. Reyna's gaze shifted to some girls at the 3rd Cohort table "you're not the one who should be apologizing, get something to eat and relax." She said walking off with her Chinese Canadian praetor partner. Christian sat on the opposite side of the table from Trystan "where's Tai and the twins go?" She asked as a lare quickly dropped her normal breakfast, toast with scrambled eggs and bacon. Trystan was eating a peculiar breakfast of a bowl of rice and pancakes "After Tai insisted I try some Chinese rice from his camp he said he was going to make a call to a friend and left. Cassie and Tyler went to talk to someone they met in the sixth Cohort while we were talking to Reyna last night." He said looking behind her. She turned to see who her rescued demigods had made friend with. She saw a Latino boy about 16 in a leather jacket and jeans, he was chatting away with the two. He had a bad case of bed head, showing he obviously woke up in a similar fashion to herself. She turned back to face Trystan "Oh that's John" she said as she started constructing her sandwich. The lares quickly came by and picked up Trystan's empty rice bowl as he sipped his breakfast Dr Pepper "you mean the guy Tai has been warning us about since we got here?" He asked putting the can back down. "Yup he's really not as bad as he's making it seem, he is a child of Loki and all. He isn't mindless if he does pull a few jokes or pranks, but Tai insists he's going to be apart of ragnarok." She said taking a bite out of her sandwich. He looked at her like he just spoken Chinese like Tai "Ragna what now?" He asked. "It's a prophecy as old as time that says Loki and his children will start a final war to kill almost all gods." She said sipping her soda. He frowned "Yay more prophecies" he muttered. The twins and John had appeared in the corner of her eye "What are you telling him about me Christian?" John asked curiously. She rolled her eyes "I'm not Tai, you know I believe you just as much as Reyna." She answered taking her last bite out of her sandwich. "Tai is that kind of person who tells you you should eat your vegetables to stay healthy isn't he?" Asked Tyler sitting down on Christian's side while Cassie sat on Trystan's. She chuckled "I guess he is if you want to put it that way." She said as a lare took her empty plate way. "Thanks Christian, I thought we were friends." Said a voice behind her. She turned and saw a grumpy Tai, she shrugged "Maybe if you weren't so uptight and formal about everything I could call you a friend." She said turning back to the group. Tai sat down on the other side of Christian and hung his head. "Who'd you make a call to Tai?" asked Cassie as a lare dropped off a unicorn horn smoothie. "This guy named Kaelen back at my camp, he's kind of acting as sad counselor while his mom is gone. So I asked him how their handling the news down there." Answered Tai. "So how is it at Guanyin?" Christian asked. Before he could answer loud clapping came from the front of the pavilion, she faced the front and saw Frank and Reyna preparing their announcements. Frank stopped with his clapping and grinned "Romans and our friends from the other pantheons in the sixth Cohort, I'm sure most of you heard of the attacks at Brazil. We know in these times when we lost some of those closest to us we start pointing fingers, but we cannot let this cloud our judgment." He said looking around the crowd of mixed demigods. "With the state of all our camps at risk the messengers have asked we tighten up our borders." Reyna started "Until the gods and everyone is settled down." She said. Little conversations started among the sixth Cohort table. "Hey Norse kids we know you aren't the best with manners, but you mind showing our praetor some respect?" Said someone sarcastically from the 1st Cohort table. "Enough!" demanded Reyna her eyes fixed on the First Cohort. Silence filled the pavilion. Frank stared around the tables "If we start acting like this now then peace between our camps will be just as bad as us and the Greeks past." He said shaking his head. "I've been hearing a bit about the Greek from Reyna, what happened?" Trystan whispered. Christian pretended not to notice him " I wasn't here for that but a couple years ago Camp Jupiter were planning on attacking the Greek camp after a goddess took over one of their demigods they sent to make peace with us, fires on us in a war ship." She whispered back. "...oh well then they seem nice?" He whispered. "They are we fought together in the end to stop the rising of an ancient goddess trying to end the world." She whispered. A few seconds went by before she heard Cassie "...Trystan ... Trystan are you ok? You look pale." She said. She felt like she should've left the world almost being destroyed part out. "Anyone confirmed to be starting trouble over birth pantheons will go without dinner for the week." Frank said as she started listening again. Reyna and Frank paused and looked around for any objections. "Good, capture the wind spirit starts the same time after lunch today. Report to your classes after breakfast, that is all." said Reyna walking off with Frank to the Principa. Trystan sighed and got up with his half empty can. "Where are you off to?" Asked Tyler. "Reyna said to talk to her when I could so we could decipher something." He said walking off to the principa. "What's up with him Christian?" Asked John. She shrugged "Ask him yourself I don't have the right to tell." She replied. She got up and started heading for her first class while the John and the twins started discussing something about invisibility. You may be wondering why there's classes in Camp Jupiter, but these aren't like you're human schools our classes teach you important things like unicorn horn medicine, monsters and their weak spots and how to rebuild camp in under 3 hours if we want. Christians first class was medicine and poisons. She walked into the class that resembled a modern high school class aside from the purple and red and gold banners around the room. She looked to the board "Norse poisons and how to deal with them!" it read it bright blue letters. Ever since the camps of other pantheons were allowed to have exchange programs to help peace talks, lessons had been different on Tuesdays and Thursdays where teachers from other camps came to share some insight into their worlds. The teacher you ask who will be teaching us a lesson in Norse mythology? I already knew, the only Norse kid in camp Jupiter. John walked in with a box of flasks and a fang the size of his forearm. "Alright class as you saw on the board today, we'll be seeing the effects of poisons and how to cure them." He said laying down his supplies on the front desk. Many people didn't like John because his father Loki, his camp included. They sent John to give lessons about Norse mythology and such to the legionaries, partially to bring our camps closer and partially so they didn't need to question his loyalty with him in front of them. John may not have been wanted by many, but Reyna trusted him and Reyna with her two dogs have never been wrong before. John told them about the effects of a wingless dragons, Lindworms poison cures and how long they would have to cure someone. Then proceeded to demonstrate on a snake he probably got just for this. He seemed to pluck a mouse from thin air and proceeded to feed it a piece of cheese with a drop of poison on it. He then dropped the mouse in the cage he kept the snake in, it patiently stared at its prey occasionally showing it's forked tounge. It slithered around the oblivious mouse until it lept forward and put the little white mouse half way in its mouth. The class stared impatiently waiting for something to happen to the snake. The snake soon started to hiss frantically in every direction until it stopped hissing and moving. It quickly started turning a black tar color and started hissing as it seemed to desolve into a black puddle. Everyone stared in horror at what had unfolded. "Sir what exactly happened?" Asked someone in the back of the class. "The poison from a lindworm takes a few seconds before it reacts with your stomach fluids to quickly dissolve you from the inside out until, well you look like that." He said pointing to the empty cage. Many didn't trust John's presence, but they did trust his knowledge on things that kill. He went on to teach them two more poisons before class was over.
