5 days... 14 hours... 28 seconds...
Avry lost track of the time when she felt her burning throat again. The fact that she hasn't hunted for the past 5 days was made worse by the fact that the wooden chair was also draining her little by little. Those stupid Mages must have added some sorcery in the chair.
She doesn't even have the energy to lift up her head but when footsteps approached and the door opened, adrenaline rushed and her head snapped up. Avry squinted through the light to see who owned the silhouette calmly approaching her.
"Tsk tsk tsk. What a pitiful sight you are, Your Highness." The girl said 'Your Highness' mockingly.
"Ah, Clarissa, right? I've heard great tales about your race. Especially how you, Mages, are so poor you can't even afford a decent cell for your precious prisoners." Avry lowered her head again, her energy draining even more.
Clarissa put on her brass knuckles and punched Avry right on the face she spit blood. Avry just laughed weakly at it. "You're still a chickenshit, aren't you? Can't fight me for real? Shocking."
She grabbed Avry's hair and forced her to look up and meet her eyes, "You dare insult us in our territory, little princess?" Avry answered with a nasty spit on her face. Clarissa wiped it on Avry's shoulder and punched her other cheek.
"Is being a chickenshit the norm here?" That earned Avry a punched right on her gut and a kick on her chest and she fell backward.
Clarissa took off her brass knuckles and scanned through the variety of daggers laid on the table. She brushed her hand on each of them and run through them but reached out for the whip laid next to it instead.
"You know what, I've heard about your whipping. I heard the General whipped you too softly that you were able to heal overnight. Tsk tsk. Not good. Not good at all. You see, princess, that's what a chickenshit is. Your General is a soft sissy I can kill him with my eyes closed." Clarissa walked around Avry while testing the strength of the whip on her palm.
Avry groaned while trying to stand up. When she couldn't, she just responded to Clarissa. "Get over yourself, bitch. You only managed to beat me up just because I'm tied up."
Clarissa stopped circling her and sat right on her chest. "If you were so precious, then why isn't there a rescue going on yet? I bet the queen is just waiting for us to return your head on a platter... Oh, don't give me that sad face. You know she hates you." Avry tried to hide her teary eyes but the tears still slipped and she hated herself for showing such weakness.
"Then it just proves how worthless this kidnapping is. You won't get anything from Vampires. You're too irrelevant to deal with. " She spat at Clarissa with as much venom.as she could muster but Clarissa hit her back.
"You mean as irrelevant as you that they won't even bother saving you? Yeah, totally obvious, flower crown."
Clarissa stood up again and Avry breathes again and felt the relief after her aching chest just got sat on. Clarissa let the whip lose and raised it. She was about to hit Avry when a voice interrupted.
"I told you to feed her, not to kill her, stupid."
