Little note: I'm currently editing the first few chapters, and I do realise that they suck and I just had to fix them, so excuse me if they look completely different from the first chapter. They'll be fixed very soon.
Chapter 2: The Weird Puzzle Of Lucas Anderson.
Happy Reading :)
Mia:
We arrived to school at a meteoric speed due to Sophie's first day of school anxiety - which happens to be for no particular reason. When we went out of the parking lot, we saw Caroline standing by the gate in a flowy white shirt that said 'Let Me Be' in gold with coral pants and gladiator heels.
Now let me state something. I could be sentimental and cheesy at times, but I understand that Caroline is the complete opposite of me. I won't hug her for too long or even attempt to sit too close to her on the couch. It turns awkward in mere seconds, which is why we go for short hugs as greetings. To be honest, that's exactly what I did; I hugged Caroline and pulled away as fast as I could. Sophie however, was a different story. She went for the most strangling way possible to hug Caroline in which Caroline didn't respond to very well. She kept patting her back awkwardly and squirming untill eventually she practically screamed at Sophie to get away from her.
Caroline Williams is one of the most sarcastic, annoying and bitter talking people I know. Sometimes, I wonder how I managed to tolerate her for twelve years straight, but once I really got to know her, I found that she's not as bad as everyone thinks she is. I know from experience that when it comes down to us, she wouldn't bother doing the impossible for us in a heart beat.
When I first met Caroline, I thought that she was an arrogant bitch that thinks that she's superior to everyone. Turns out, she's just a quite girl who was hurt for so many times that she decided that being alone is ten times better than getting hurt over and over again.
"Sophie, get away from me, I'd prefer to get to first period in one piece!" Caroline managed to say. Sophie pulled away and muttered another sorry to Caroline. I looked around and I found Rose parking her car in the parking lot. When she got out in a mini black skirt with a white t-shirt and a black leather jacket paired with fishnet tights, black boots and her long silver necklace, I gave myself a mental pat on the back.
"I. Am. A. Genius!" I practically screamed, earning myself a few weird stares from students and a light slap on the head from Caroline. I had designed that outfit for Rose a couple of months back, and she didn't find the right day to wear it. Until today.
"Thanks for the handy work, Mia." she grinned, giving me a quick hug.
We were about to push our way through the crowds and catch first period when we heard the loudest cheering and screams from the student body on the edge of the parking lot.
We all gave knowing glances to each other and we reached the crowd to find two motorcycles racing into the parking lot. As we watched the crowd screaming and pouring their hearts out, I smelled Andrew's regular cologne as he slung his arms around mine and Rose's shoulders. I had momentarily forgot that he was Caroline's ride so he must've been here.
Expectantly, the boys on the motorcycles took off their helmets revealing the all mighty Lucas and Liam Anderson. They're non identical twins, but you could easily see the resemblance, with their signature brown hair and blue eyes, and they just so happened to be the boys I grew up with.
As a matter of fact, We're all practically neighbors. We literally know everything about each other, from our saddest moments to our moments of joy, to the secret crushes. All of it. The thing is, being best friends with the school heartthrobs is not really the safest option when walking around school.
