~~reader's p.o.v~~
I were walking on the street, when Makoto, Haru, and Nagisa come into view. A wide smile crosses your face. People said you had teeth like Rin's, sharp like a shark's, but you remind people of a tiger.

"Mako-chan, Haru-chan, Nagi-chan! Hey!" I said, running to them. They turn around. Nagisa' eyes fill with glee, and Makoto's face a smile emerges. Haru stares at you emotionless.

"Drop the -chan, [name]. You know I hate it." Haru says. Makoto chuckles.

"But, Haru-chan! It suits you!" Nagisa says in my defense. I giggle.

"Konichiwa, [name]. How are you?" Makoto asks.

"I'm fine, thank you Mako-chan. I have exciting news!" I say.

"What is it, [name]-chan?! Have penguins invaded your house? Did ice cream flood the streets?! Did you get a new dog?!?" Nagisa asks. I laugh.

"No, but close! My 12th birthday is in a couple days! I'm inviting you guys!" I say. Haru's eyes widen. Nagisa has a determined look on his face, and Mako smiles widely.

"That's great, [name]-chan!! When is it?" Nagisa asks.

"It's on the 20th. 4:00 pm. You know where my house is." You explain.

"We'll be there. What do you want for your birthday?" Makoto asks. You shake your head.

"No, you don't have to get me anything. You guys showing up is all I need." I say, scratching the back of my neck.

"No, we insist." Haru says. You stare at him in shock.

"Well, I don't really want anything. Not like I need more plushies for my collection, but some DVDs of anime would be nice!" I say.

"I'm getting you the anime Moon Phase on DVD." Haru says.

"I'm getting you K.O. Beast!" Nagisa says.

"I'll get you Brother's Conflict." Makoto says. I blush.

"That's a little.....to put it simply over aged for us Mako-chan." I say. He realizes and blushes, too.

"I-I'm sorry! I f-forgot! I-I saw your older sister watching it a-and...." he trails off. I laugh.

"It's ok. You don't have to be sorry." I say.

"What anime DO you want?" He asks.

"Miraculous Ladybug. You don't need to get it, even one disc costs a lot." I say. I remember the price of it at the DVD shop. 1658.55 Yen a disc!

"It's fine, I've been saving up."

"No, really-" i start.

"I'm getting it for you, whether you want me to or not!" He says, chuckling. I smile.

"Thanks, Mako-chan." I say.

"I ship it!" Nagisa says. We blush. Haru sets a soft smile, but it goes away quickly.

~~day of the party~~
" Otanjōbiomedetō! Otanjōbiomedetō! Tanjōbiomedetō [name]! Otanjōbiomedetō!" they sung. (It's the happy birthday song in Japanese.)

"Arigato, everyone!" I say before blowing out my candles. They all clap. I open my presents. The first one is a penguin plushie.

"Thank you, Nagi-chan." I say.

"I couldn't find K.O. Beast on DVD so I got you the plushie." He says, I giggle. The next one was Moon Pase on DVD and a beach towel with a dolphin. I chuckle.

"Thank you, Haru-chan." I say.

"Drop the -chan, for the last time." He says. Makoto smiles. I open the last one. It was Miraculous Ladybug on DVD. My eyes widen. All of the episodes!

"Makoto, how could you afford this! It would cost you 1658.55 Yen a disc! This would've cost 6634.20 Yen!" I say. Haru and Nagisa widen their eyes.

"It's fine, mum and dad chipped in, and chipped in with my savings. It's fine." He says.

"Thank you, anyway Mako-chan." I say. The phone rings. My sister, Kiki [last name] answered it. She nods. He face droops a bit, then she nods again.

"Hey, sis? I got bad news...." Kiki says.

"What is it, onii-chan?" I ask.

"W-we're moving." She says. My eyes widen, and I feel tears prick and the corners of my eyes.

"Where?" I ask.

"[country/state]." She says. I look at my friends. Nagisa is crying. Haru's eyes are open wide, and Makoto's on the verge of tears.

~~moving day~~
I packed the last of my stuff in my suitcase, ready to board the airplane. I walk out the front door, and see the group. I even see Rin, who I haven't spoke to in a while.

"I heard your moving, tiger..." he said in his signature standing position. I nod sadly. "Cheer up. We'll keep in touch, I know it. You're not the only one. I'm going to Australia in a few weeks." Rin says. I smile weakly.

"I'm going to miss you, [nickname]-chan!" Nagisa says, hugging me tight.

"I'll miss you, too, Nagi-chan." I say. Haru says nothing. He walks up to me and hugs me. I look at him in shock. I smile. "Keep swimming, Haru." I say.

"I'm glad you got rid of the -chan." He says. I see his smile. Makoto walks up to me.

"I'll be seeing you around. Until next time, [name]." He says. I nod.

"Until next time, Mako-chan." I say, giving him a side hug. He gives me a warm smile. I get in the car. The car starts to move, and I see my friends running after the car. I stick half my body out the window. They keep screaming goodbye.

"I'LL NEVER FORGET YOU GUYS!!" I scream back. I get back in the car. I'll never forget them.

~~high school, 2nd year~~
I look out the window, remembering them. Nagisa and his excitement, Rin and his confidence, Haru and his boldness, Makoto and his sweetness. I hear a slam on my desk. I jump.

"Is something on your mind, Ms. [last name]?" The teacher asks me. I shake my head. She carries on with the lesson.

~~timeskip to home~~
I walk inside the house. I set down my stuff. I see onii-chan on the couch.

"Onii-chan, I'm home!" I yell.

"[name]! I got great news!" She says, getting up.

"What?" I say.

"We're moving back to Iwatobi!" My eyes widen as she says Iwatobi.
