I woke up today better than any other day, i don't know maybe I'm just happy. I mean i was able to say what I've been keeping for years to someone. I feel like the luggages I carry lessen. Even just a bit.
I went down, having a good morning very evident in my actions. "GOOD MORNING, NANNY!" I greeted nanny with my beaming smile. "Well, Good morning to you too, Raquel. You seem very happy today." She said noticing my jolliness and she gave me a smile. I sat on the stool by the counter to eat breakfast and she served me my pancakes. Raf then came and sat beside me. "Good morning, big boy." I greeted him while shuffling his hair. "Good morning, Racky!" He said smiling ever so jolly. "So, why are you early today huh?" The smile on his face widened more, "I'm going to Dan's birthday today, but I still need to buy him gift so nanny and I will buy after breakfast." Oh yeah. Every year, Raf attends Dan's birthday party , one of his friends. That kid will soon be a party animal, I swear! I'm not gonna be surprised when he reach high school and throw party here and there.
"Oh, is that so? Well, then it'll be a fun day for you. You take care okay! No funny business okay?" I looked at him straight to the eye. "Promise! I'm 5 now you know!" Hahaha sometimes I really think if he's just a man adult stuck in a five-year-old kid's body. "Alright big boy. Okay, I gotta go!" I kissed him on his forehead and said good bye to nanny.
I grabbed my things and my board then I stepped out. After closing the gates I put on my headset and because I'm happy, this is rare I swear, I played "Can't Stop the Feeling". Alright! I started skating to school while enjoying the song. I didn't even notice myself singing along with the song, what?! It's super catchy, can't help it! Hahaha. I reached school after the song reappeared twice. Yup, I enjoyed it that much.
I removed my headset and let it hang my neck. I went straight to my locker to prepare for my morning classes, taking out my biology and math books. "Hey, friend!" I looked to my right and saw the jerkpid. "Hey, jerkpid." He chuckled a little before opening the locker beside mine. "Hey! Why are you opening Jeremiah's locker?" I asked. Well, I know very well the owner of that locker because I've been here for what? Four weeks? And definitely, that's not his locker. "Preparing for my morning classes?" He said as if I asked a question with an obvious answer. "What?" He chuckled again and said, "Simple, I asked if we can switch lockers and he agreed. I also informed the registrar. So now, this locker, is mine! Yehey! Now we're locker buddies!" He said ever so childishly. "Yehey. More of jerkpid. Lucky me." I said full of sarcasm. "Lucky you!" He said repeating what I said and smiled mockingly.
"And why may I ask?" I already have a feeling of what the answer would be, but I don't wanna get ahead of myself cause that will be embarrassing. "Well cause I got this feeling in my body that I need to be close with my friend and I can't stop the feeling. So I did what I have to." He said grinning. I just realized what he's trying to do and soon I can feel my face turning red. I looked at him with wide eyes and he laughed! "Hahahaha! You didn't inform me that you're a great singer, Raquel. Hahaha" he kept laughing, some people even looked our way. Ugh! So much for a happy day! I stepped on his foot to stop him from laughing...aaaand to cover up for my embarrassment..
"Ow! S-snob! Why-y so vi-iolent!" He complained trying to stop from laughing. He looks so funny! Hahaha, he looks like a tomato! "Hahahahah!" Okay I give up! He looks funny! After that laughing session we went to homeroom. He sat beside me and we waited for Ms. Ross.
"Hey! Snob!" He said just loud enough for me to hear. "What?" I asked him bored. "Why were you so happy earlier?"
"Thanks for being sensitive and saying that in past tense. I WAS happy this morning, but YOU, yes you Jerkpid, ruined it." I glared at him which made him laugh again...for no reason. Weird Jerkpid. "What can I do? You were so cute while you sing along to the song. You know I was just following behind you with my bike. Hahaha" he said. "Wow. Thanks. Stalker so much." I said while rolling my eyes. "Okay. Okay. I'll make it up to you later lunch okay?" He said with a chuckle. Then Ms. Ross arrived and started discussing about the final announcements for the party this Saturday.
