Aaron was smirking when I was out of the lockers. "Now what?" I said questioningly.

"Nothing." He said too soon...I narrowed my eyes at him then he raised his hands as he said "What?" So I dropped it and walked towards the field. Okay! First training! I put on a confident face to set good example to my teammates..well I'm the captain. So much for being a role model because as soon as jerkpid spoke, everything was crushed into pieces. Ugh! "Excited aren't we? Don't worry, you'll do bad! No doubt 'bout it." He said together with a wink.

I rolled my eyes and jogged to the huddle, leaving him laughing out loud. Too much fun for today bruv! "Good afternoon, coach!" I greeted Coach Ricardo. He gave me a proud smile, "Good morning, captain." He replied which placed a permanent smile on my face. We started training. We had a circuit training to train our body and some ball handling, coach said we need to have a strong body first before he show us his amazing skills..his words, not mine. And by the sidelines, coach stood evaluating each one of us, "Hey, snob! You know you look funny while you run! Hahahha!" And of course, beside him was jerkpid who once in a while comments on me which earned him glares from yours truly.

After two and a half hour of training we were done for the day! That was energy-draining, but fun. I love it when I reach my max, it feels satisfying cause I know I was able to give my best. I was dripping sweat as I walk to the benches to grab my water bottle and drank it all in one go. Then my towel magically flew to my face, kidding. Of course somebody threw it..who else? "Hahahaha. Bull's eye!" Jerkpid. I just gave him a disapproving look and wiped my sweaty face and neck. "Okay. Go change I'll wait for you in the lobby." He said walking away before I can say anything. I just shrugged and went to the lockers.

I changed into my gray sweatshirt and white jogging pants. I removed my cleats and socks and laid my tired feet on my comfy flip flops. I left my hair down to dry off the sweat so I can take a shower when I get home.

"Hey! Leggo!" I called Aaron who was flirting with those cheerleaders. "Sorry girls, snob's calling me. Bye!" He winked at them and jogged towards me. I heard the girls giggle then grunt after realizing I was the one he was pertaining to as 'snob'. Mister Heartbreaker hits again! I just shook my head and chuckled. "Now you're chuckling? Are you alright? Hahaha." He said noticing my stupidity. "None of you business." Then we walked out of the school grounds.

"Hey, snob. Are we now, legally, officially, whatever-ally, friends? You know cause you didn't mind me waiting and you even called me to go with you and ---" I cut him off before his statement become a paragraph. "Yes." Well he is pushy. I can't really do anything about it can I? His smile is now wider than ever which almost creeped me out, but I already know that he is a jerkpid. "Huh. I knew you had the hots on me." He remarked confidently. "In your dreams pushy jerkpid. In your dreams."

"Wow, now my nickname came along with pushy." He said. "Nope. Just saying. Cuz you know, adding something to jerkpid just for you is a waste of saliva. FYI, not worthy." I smirked at him being comfortable of his presence. He raised his brows and acted so shocked putting his hands on his chest wear his heart is."I am hurt." He said in a girly tone which earned him a laugh. Yep he's a jerkpid, a funny jerkpid.

"So...do you mind if I ask you questions??" He said while we are walking on the sidewalk. "Nope. Cause you're gonna ask them anyway." I answered obviously. "Yup. You're damn right! Hahah! Anyway..the question is...for a million dollar...are you ready?" He said prolonging his question. "Ugh! Geez! Just ask already!" He chuckled, "alright! Why so impatient. Hahaha!" He laughed a little more while I mumbled "Jerkpid."

"Okay, my question is, why did you transfer here I mean it's the last year of high school? You know?" He gave me a questioning look. Should I tell him? Hmm...why not? "Well, you see. My mom died five years ago." He was listening intently to me so I continued, "I was very close with her, we always do things together, she always supported me, in short she is not only my mom, but also my best friend." I stopped for a while to swallow the lump that's starting to form in my throat.

"Back then, I never really had a close relationship with my father so when mom died, dad and I just closed each other out. He even blames my brother for mom's death. And I miss her so much, I miss that love only my parents can provide which died with my mom. So I transferred here to at least, even for a year, feel her presence again, remember her, her love by walking on the same halls she used to walk on, eat where she ate...because I've been avoiding her memory for five years and now I want to remember every single memory of her...cause that's how she'd like me to do." I smiled at him...

"I've already accepted the fact that she is gone and will never come back you know, but no one really dies cause as long as one remembers his or her life then he or she will continue living. And that's what I am doing." He smiled, this time without a hint of mockery or anything stupid. Just pure smile. "You know I didn't see you as a softie..but I'm glad you opened up to me." Then there goes his signature wink. I just chuckled and punched him on the arm and he just laughed out loud.

Soon we reached my house and technically his house as well. "Okay. We're here sooo...see you tomorrow friend?" He asked. I smiled "hahaha guess you will." I opened the gates and entered.. he waited for me to enter before going home. "I'm home!" I announced and went straight to my room. Training was tiring....very.
